The "Guardian" Exposes Leading Think Tank Running Covert Campaign For Voter Suppression Laws

This article in today's "Guardian" has the story on who is funding the nationwide campaign for increased voter suppression laws through "dark money" contributions. It is the political action arm of the DC based think tank the "Heritage Foundation," named Heritage Action. It identifies a primary donor as Rebekah Mercer, well known as a leading funder of the extremist right-wing in the GOP/MAGA-verse.

Martha and I know the Heritage Foundation too well, as throughout our years of political activism, we worked to expose them and their radical agenda for deregulation, free-market looting of our labor force and vital infrastructure, and large scale proposals for privatization of the military, law enforcement, education, among other things, as well as the lifting of restrictions on financial speculation by financial companies. 

They have always been a leading vehicle for the literally anti-American economic outlook of the British Empire, known as the "free market" or free trade system. They promote the theories of the Nobel Prize winning quack economist Milton Friedman of the so-called "Chicago School," who waa the architect of the disastrous anti-FDR policy reforms under Nixon and Reagan. Also they are devotees of the schools Friedrich Von Hayek ("Road To Serfdom") and Ludwig Von Mises, who were leading figures in the cult of Libertarianism in the 20th Century. 

This is a useful contribution to the public discussion, as it clearly points to the hypocrisy and lies underlying the GOP agenda which claims to be fighting on behalf of working families. Considering the fascist insurrectionist Billionaires who fund it, who have done nothing but chisel and steal from working Americans, the identification of the sources of "dark money" which is spread around should be shoved down the throats of their puppets and "useful idiot" ideologues, both of the elected and unelected variety. 

This is the kind of article which is needed, ripping apart the charade of these lying liars of MAGA. It is one reason the "Guardian" is one of my top three "go to" sources of news.

Milton Friedman- The Man Who Revived Fascist Economics, and Called It "Freedom".

  You may have heard the name before, as he was featured in a PBS Series, titled "Free To Choose", also the title of his most famous and misnamed book. He was a prolific author, and widely publicized by Conservative News Media and Magazines, especially by the followers of William F. Buckley. In fact, Milton Friedman is the current top economic advisor to the so-called "movement conservatives", from Nixon to Reagan, to Newt Gingrich and Trumpworld,  and is still to this day the main architect of the GOP approach to dealing with the present economic crisis, though he has been keeping a low profile.  How do we know whether what we are reading is true, or for that matter useful? There are many journalists in the US today who are not only excellent writers, but are just good people. They are well informed, have the best intentions and are highly professional.  I have to force myself to write, and it comes with great difficulty because I am blocked, and had little journalistic training. Without an editor I feel lost, and feel as though I want to rewrite everything or throw it out after I read it. Reading books and articles is my favorite hobby, and when I'm doing that I am in my happy place.  As of now I have 30 News and Magazine sites bookmarked and I read them everyday as a routine. I usually read anywhere from 2-10 articles in each, depending upon what newsworthy events are breaking that day. Plus I have a number of books on history that I have going at any one time.
