While we are relieved for the moment that it didn't signal the end of democracy, we are still confronted with an unfolding monstrosity which has incubated within today's Republican Party, and emerged publicly in it's full white nationalist "cristo-fascist" hoods and robes, flanked by a large contingent of modern day brown shirts. Our democracy is on a ventilator and barely hanging on to life. Nonetheless, thanks to the recent increased participation of younger voters, we still have a recourse through politics to make meaningful changes for the good, and this is hopeful, but comes at the 11th hour.
