Axios Covers "Under The Radar" Battle Over Reauthorization Of FISA Act--- Outcome Is Strategic, Attempts At "News Management" Notwithstanding

This story covered in "Axios" is somewhat buried in an avalanche of coverage about Joe Biden's garage. However I'm keeping my eye on it because reauthorization the FISA act is a vital necessity in the face of intensifying asymmetrical warfare attacks emanating from Putin's GRU, and to a lesser extent China.

Those who oppose it are a tag-team of civil libertarian spokespersons, and of course Trump/MAGA Russian intelligence assets who have many secrets they wish to remain as secrets. Warrants issued under FISA give our agencies more tools for fending off such attacks, and in the words of General Nakasone, head of the NSA, they have saved lives.

We will likely not know the details of how that has been the case, but my perspective is that I have a list of seditious conspirators and traitors in the service of Putin who I would hope could be put under surveillance, of course all done legally with probable cause.

I have experienced enough situations personally regarding free speech and political activity to be well aware of the dangers of government overreach and invasive methods of investigation. But, in the case of active and open advocates of sedition, I think their activity is not protected free speech.

That is a controversial view, but I'm prepared to argue in defense of it, even though I wish I didn't need to. This is one of these stories which blends into the background, but I guarantee it will come up again.
