If your version of Christianity led you to vote for Donald Trump twice, to mourn his defeat, or to accept the Big Lie that his re-election was stolen, then your religious belief is not even Christian. It is a form of shared psychosis.
To those immediately in disagreement or offended, please, feel free to share with us one thing which Trump has done which is "Christian", and I will be happy to show you the one hundred ways in which that act was a self-serving fraud, born of hypocrisy, a deception by him, and a pretext for self-delusion by you.
You say you don't trust government, and that you only want your freedom. That is itself a delusional lie. In a Democratic Republic YOU are the government, because it governs only with your consent. If government fails, it is your fault, because of your failed ideas, lack of participation, or support for leaders whose ideas are equally failed or dishonest. Your distrust of "government" is actually distrust in yourself, because you know too well the enraged, cynical and greedy selfish individual that you sometimes become at your worst, and you project that onto others.
You say you want your "Freedom". Is it your freedom to DO something? Or is it freedom FROM something. Make a list of each, and take stock of it. You will find that most of it centers around yourself and immediate circle of friends, family, money, or personal sense of grievance due to bad policies by which you feel you have been victimized. There will be very little about the benefit of "others", or the future beyond your lifetime. After all, "you are saved", and you know where you will end up, because it's preordained and is ultimately His Will that decides, not anything that you do or don't do in this lifetime.
Do you really believe that you can continue to exist at the center of your own egoistic and heteronomic Universe and still call yourself a Christian? Actual freedom for a Christian is having the Charity, resolve, intellectual commitment and inclination to place yourself at the service of others. Are you serving others by stockpiling an armory of semi-automatic weapons in your basement? Or not wearing a mask? You have no idea what freedom is. You are the opposite of Christian if "the others" are mostly your competitors or enemies, and your concept of freedom is protection from "Them".
You are as narcissistic in many ways as the man you have placed your trust in. Can you face the ugly truth that your concept of freedom is not free at all, rather it is to be protected from other people, who look, think and speak differently than you? It is not government you distrust, it is yourself, and other people. And because of sheer laziness or an underlying self-hatred projected outward, you've chosen to believe the worst lies about those other people, about who they are and what they believe.
You have placed your trust in religious authorities and entertainers, charlatans and "Elmer Gantrys" who tell you what your God wants of you, and who believe you are incapable of having an unmediated relationship to your chosen Deity, therefore you must rely upon the person behind the Pulpit of your Church to truly know "God's Plan". And the equally ugly reality is that to them, you are only a stepping stone or platform upon which to build their ministry and raise the money to support it, merely a body and a wallet to be milked like a Cow, not a full person.
In reality, your "Church Of The Holy Sanctified Trump" has devolved into a pseudo-religious sanctuary, a "bubble" community which is created for you to hide from the advances of the modern world, which you have been told is hostile and will annihilate your way of life. What lies outside of your Church are two entities. Your fellow congregants, and the enemy, "Them".
And in many cases, you are being told that the enemies of Trump are "demonic forces" to be confronted or attacked. Such as Vaccine or mask advocates, school board officials, election officials, Congressmen, Governors, TV newscasters, Doctors and scientists,, celebrities, anti-racist authors and historians, women's health advocates, or anyone who earns the personal stamp of enmity or disloyalty to Trump. These are categories of the many Trump targeted individuals and groups now forced to pay for expensive, elaborate and armed private security.
Despite your delusion of piety, you are most definitely not Christian, rather you have joined a cult. And you view the overwhelming majority of Americans and institutions as a personal threat to your freedoms and beliefs, because they exist outside of your bubble.
And still, you continue to feed the Beast, which are financial conglomerates run by televised racketeers wearing Minister's collars or $10,000 suits.
If you are a Trump supporting "Christian," that's what you have become. Your occasional good works are a conscience salving selfish act to mitigate your guilt at letting yourself be corrupted. Corrupted by your blind and delusional faith in arguably the most destructive man of the 21st Century, placed in the US Presidency with the help of a hostile foreign power, whose only goal as President is "to reward his friends, and punish his enemies" in the words of Plato.
If you adhere to this outlook, you cannot possibly lay claim to the title of "Christian". You are just another of the world's religious fundamentalists who believes in a bloodthirsty God of retribution and punishment and the need for an occasional Apocalypse, a fire and brimstone avenger for whom there was never a "New Dispensation".
To see in even higher resolution this undistilled absurdity, face the following incontrovertible facts:
For example, he is worshipped by his own supporters from whom he has recently been caught stealing 160 million dollars, and to whom he was forced by the FEC to issue refunds.
He campaigns for "family values" despite a lifestyle of being a male whore, pimp, and serial marriage wrecker, whose inherited wealth enabled him to get richer from the gambling industry and Hollywood. (the same supposedly decadent combination of the Casino and Film industries which you give money to your oh-so-pious Ministers to fight against)
And he preaches patriotism, a strong defense of the military and The Flag, (both American and Confederate) while he has been quoted firsthand by reliable and patriotic sources denouncing our servicemen and women, our injured and war dead as "losers", because of their incomprehensible (to him) commitment to self-sacrifice to protect our real freedoms. And he lies like a Dog to protect our nation's adversaries like Putin.
He literally has wrapped himself in the American Flag, while issuing public attacks on our Gold Star Families of soldiers KIA in our wars as "frauds, and denouncing America's POW hero Senator John McCain as a loser for "getting caught".
He excoriates athletes who kneel for our National Anthem to promote social justice as "Sons of Bitches" who demean our Flag and Military. He, the guy whose rich Daddy paid off a corrupt Doctor to fabricate a Bone Spur diagnosis for him to get a medical deferment avoiding service during Vietnam.
He claims to be "Pro-Life", while dedicating himself to destroying the social safety net and system of regulatory protection which keeps people alive once they leave the womb. He and his pro death penalty religious advisors believe that the Right to Life ends at birth.
He claims to be defending American's freedom to celebrate their heritage, while praising the motives of those "great believers in freedom", the Nazis and Confederates who marched on Charlottesville by torchlight, just like their precursors in Nuremberg.
He accepts the endorsements of KKK sympathizers, those fellow white "Christians" who wore their hoods and robes in the forests by the light of a flaming cross, who tortured then hanged innocent human beings. Is this your heritage? If so, you are not even close to being Christian, or human for that matter, as he is also not in any measurable way.
This is the same "Law and Order" President who incited and supported a violent mob to attack our Capitol, causing the death of five Police, and injuries to hundreds. And he loves our Police so dearly that he called those brave defenders of our Capitol "pussies" when they gave witness to what they saw, and how they were injured.
And you think he was sent by God to save Christianity and America?
One could logically ask in light of all this, "where is your mind"? "What happened to you"? For how long will you continue to live these lies and hypocrisies?
(And please, for your own sake, refrain from any lame attempt at this point in our dialogue to change the subject with some diversion, false equivalence, or "whataboutism" which is how you typically protect yourself when caught lying. We know what you do.)
Far be it from me to ask you those questions. You need to walk into your bathroom, look in the mirror, and ask them of yourself. That is if you can ever at long last find the courage to find that bathroom, the one with the mirror in it.
