I too have been tracking the Flynn story. He has been a Russian Intelligence asset since no later than 2015. It needs to be said that his apparent interest in backing candidates at this juncture has nothing to do with elections, or positioning himself within MAGA. He is a terrorist leader who is recruiting a team of hardcore loyalists which intends to lead a violent insurrection against the United States Federal Government. 

For those such as HCR who know your Civil War history, Flynn is creating a new "Knights of the Golden Circle", which was the terrorist group that produced the leadership of the Confederacy, and it's later iteration the Ku Klux Klan. His strategic objective is a violent Coup to either reinstall Trump through extra-legal means, or find some other suitable proxy for a fascist military Junta.  

Because of his current role in QAnon, and history as a Russian asset, he should be (if not already) the target of FISA Court warrants and under investigation for espionage and/or Treason, subject to recall to Military active duty and Court Martial.  

Also, it is crucial to not conflate poll results and gate receipts with reality as does HCR in today's letter.  Trump is not "losing influence". His movement is hardening and weeding out the non-combatants. Trump's terrorists are laying low.

They are in a lull phase, not turning out for events which might make themselves targets. 

Trump and Flynn intend to overturn the 2020 Presidential election the moment the GOP assumes majorities in both Houses in January 2023. . They have no intention of maneuvering towards the 2024 elections to reelect Trump. Any campaigns they do launch are simply political cover.  They don't believe he was ever unelected! They are going for a reinstall, not a reelection. 

This is why the pivot of modern history and future of Democracy depends on Joe Biden's determination to steamroll the Centrist saboteurs in his own Party like Manchin and Sinema, ram through the needed voting and economic reforms, and put down the Trump/Flynn insurrection now. The January 6 Select Committee is a start, but not sufficient.

The President must escalate, and he must step back and allow the Army to arrest and try Michael Flynn, before we have our own real life "Seven Days In May".

Retired Lt. General Michael Flynn is not driven to overthrow the Biden Presidency by politics, or personal loyalty to Donald Trump. He is driven by religious fanaticism. 

His public involvement in the cult of QAnon is mostly an overlay for a much deeper involvement in a particularly dangerous schismatic element in the Catholic Church. 

It is a sect of extreme Right Wing fascist "Old Believers", charismatics who are currently in a state of similar insurrection against the Papacy of Francis. 

This grouping interfaces with the movement of fellow QAnon adherent, former Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano of the Washington DC area, who is personally steering the actions of the renegade Bishops that are intriguing against President Biden. 

This movement of extreme Charismstics has as their agenda bringing fascist regimes to power in Europe and the US through destabilizing their governments and backing QAnon linked Parties, whose ideology is publicly rooted in anti-immigration rhetoric and opposing public health measures to mitigate covid. 

Their actual agenda however is the overturning of Vatican II, and aligning the Church with its Dark Ages roots, restoring Oligarchical families to power, launching a modern Crusades of global religious war, and an Inquisition within the Church to purge those influences of the modern world which they see as threats. 

Because this is the actual identity of Michael Flynn, his hatred and enmity for Joe Biden is much deeper and more complex than simply the Donald Trump influence. Therefore it is much more dangerous. It is also the basis for his "marriage of convenience" with the West hating Russian Nationalist Orthodox fanatics who are led by Vladimir Putin, equally at odds with the progress of the modern world. (Not coincidentally, this charismatic Catholic cult involvement also characterized the outlook of "Opus Dei" fanatic Robert Hanssen, the FBI top official caught and exposed as one of the most destructive KGB Agents in the history of the US.) 

These are the frequent undercurrents for what motivates history's worst criminals which often are obscured by our sometimes superficial analysis, made in the name of keeping things simple. 

There is no "simple" in these times. Real change requires this kind of a "deep dive" in order to understand what we are fighting, and why. Think about it.

 How do we know whether what we are reading is true, or for that matter useful? There are many journalists in the US today who are not only excellent writers, but are just good people. They are well informed, have the best intentions and are highly professional.  I have to force myself to write, and it comes with great difficulty because I am blocked, and had little journalistic training. Without an editor I feel lost, and feel as though I want to rewrite everything or throw it out after I read it. Reading books and articles is my favorite hobby, and when I'm doing that I am in my happy place.  As of now I have 30 News and Magazine sites bookmarked and I read them everyday as a routine. I usually read anywhere from 2-10 articles in each, depending upon what newsworthy events are breaking that day. Plus I have a number of books on history that I have going at any one time.
