The "Christians" Who Crucify Jesus Every Day

 



Unfortunately most Americans have not yet faced the superseding reality that their friends and family who still support Donald Trump, after everything that has unfolded, have an indelible streak of Evil in them. 

They are not dupes or misled sinners who have lost their way. There is a part of them which identifies with his narcissism, selfishness, arrogance, racism, sexism, and deep seated rage. They resonate multiple aspects of Trump's hateful mindset, because they choose to accept the authority of someone who has told them that Trump is a man of God, or destiny, and his actions are part of God's plan.

This form of organized social Evil has brought Humanity to the brink on many occasions in our history.  However, those people around you that you have remained tolerant of will  rationalize their participation in Evil by deflecting the conversation to some sophistical form of "whataboutism", changing the subject to some other person or group who they believe is an evildoer. And they do this because fundamentally they believe everyone is evil from the moment they become self-conscious, and console themselves that they are doing good by choosing the lesser evil. 

Where this leads in these times, ie: the Nuclear Age, is the consequences of a nuclear armed madman beholden to a movement of "End Times" Armageddonists, who are fine with Nuclear War if it fulfills God's plan and brings Jesus back. That is the Pandora's Box which "toleration" of Trumpism opens up. 

If these were normal times, you might give them a pass. But in this case they have chosen freely to align themselves with the most atrocious Evil, and by doing so condemn themselves in the truest sense to the fate of ignominy fit only for those who commit the worst of crimes, because they assent to them. 

At this point, only taking the risk of full on confrontation can shock them back into their humanity, if there is any left. Deal with it.

Milton Friedman- The Man Who Revived Fascist Economics, and Called It "Freedom".

  You may have heard the name before, as he was featured in a PBS Series, titled "Free To Choose", also the title of his most famous and misnamed book. He was a prolific author, and widely publicized by Conservative News Media and Magazines, especially by the followers of William F. Buckley. In fact, Milton Friedman is the current top economic advisor to the so-called "movement conservatives", from Nixon to Reagan, to Newt Gingrich and Trumpworld,  and is still to this day the main architect of the GOP approach to dealing with the present economic crisis, though he has been keeping a low profile. A very low profile. In fact, six feet under. How Do You Know If What You Are Reading Is True Or Useful? - A One Year Old Facebook Post

 How do we know whether what we are reading is true, or for that matter useful? There are many journalists in the US today who are not only excellent writers, but are just good people. They are well informed, have the best intentions and are highly professional.  I have to force myself to write, and it comes with great difficulty because I am blocked, and had little journalistic training. Without an editor I feel lost, and feel as though I want to rewrite everything or throw it out after I read it. Reading books and articles is my favorite hobby, and when I'm doing that I am in my happy place.  As of now I have 30 News and Magazine sites bookmarked and I read them everyday as a routine. I usually read anywhere from 2-10 articles in each, depending upon what newsworthy events are breaking that day. Plus I have a number of books on history that I have going at any one time.
