Ideology, Categories, and Radical Nominalism, Part 4. The Greens, Malthus, Hitler, and Al Gore

Ok, ok, I can feel the anger and resentment building up. If you have read Part 1-3, then you know I'm going for a slow build, until I "come off the top rope" toward the end, to use a Wrestling term. If you haven't, I think you need start at the beginning to follow my line of argument, no matter how disjointed or offensive it may seem. 

Most people who identify as Environmentalists today are good, well meaning people, who want good things for themselves and others. There are dedicated and highly qualified people who give of themselves greatly, as Scientists, Oceanographers, Climatolgists, Ecologists etc, who want to do the right things to protect Humanity's future, in the face of a neglectful and destructive misallocation of resources, which is what pollution actually is. My wife is a dedicated Ecologist, who subjects me to ritualistic hazing if I put a used paper napkin in the recycle bin. So, I am aware of the degree of knowledge and sincerity which those folks carry with them, and respect it. (I will leave aside the Climate Change question for now, until we progress later to the subject of Human Economy, to treat it fairly)

But, honestly speaking as the arrogant, haughty, pompous bloviator that I have evolved into, I have to say that what most of these Environmentalists know about Economics and History is as limited as that of our general modernist American population, after decades of revisionism, declining education standards, horrific degeneration of popular culture, adaptation to a culture of violence and Porn, and the intellect destroying effects of "Political Correctness". In that sense, most people are victims of a paradigm shift which they are not entirely conscious of. 

So, I will blast away with my core arguments, be a provocateur, and attack people's deeply cherished beliefs and preconceptions, because I sincerely believe that is what most people need right now. 

As I laid out in Part 3, the Green Movement was launched in the late 19th Century out of a Hippie Commune for Oligarchs in Ascona Switzerland, with the intention of replacing the Age of Pisces, (associated with Judeo-Christian Western Civilization) with the Age of Aquarius. (Associated with Sun worship and that of Nature in general) 

The Philosophers, Writers, Artists, etc, who organized this "Counterculture Movement" all shared one single intellectual figure as their polestar and methodological guide. That would be Thomas Malthus. 

(I encourage all to do their own research into the people and events I describe here, mainly because I don't have the luxury of time to source and footnote. Everything I write comes from "up here", based on work I have done over years) 

Malthus was a paid propagandist for the policies of the British Crown, and Imperial System. At the time, the Brits had successfully recovered from their own internal succession strife and Civil Wars between ruling families, and Incorporated their growing force of professional Privateers into the British East India Company, from which the Empire derived its growing power and riches. The revenues from the slave trade, the Opium Trade, the Far East Spice Trade, the Gold and Diamond Trade, the Cotton Trade, and the economic policy of food and raw material theft known as "Free Trade", enriched the British Oligarchy and Bank of England at the expense of their Colonial possessions and populations. India was subjected to the  repeated Holocaust of famine and disease, Ireland starved, Africans were worked to death in African mines and North American cotton fields as chattel slaves, Chinese were mass addicted to Opium, and turned into East India Company servants in support of that trade. England at that time, was the greatest criminal enterprise on Earth, before or since. 

So, very simply, they needed a scribbler, a PR guy,  to defend, rationalize, and explain, the very untidy death toll associated with their business model. And they hired Malthus.

Malthus promptly threw together his Seminal work "Essay on Population", circa 1793. America's Revolutionary Founders had been horrified when made aware of England's genocide against India, stealing their food and starving 15 million people to death. This was a far bigger factor in our declaring Independence than the Tea or Stamp Tax, as Americans saw what was in store for us under that system. So, Malthus was put to work explaining why this was not mass murder, rather, nature itself correcting the imbalance caused by India's overpopulation, due to their out of control breeding. 

This is where he postulated his Iron Law of Nature, that Population grows geometrically, but food production only arithmetically, and therefore food production can never keep pace with population growth, therefore, famine, and disease are "Nature's Way" of correcting that Natural Imbalance". Following from that, it is "normal" for there to be occasional demographic collapses, (mass genocide) and that government leaders would be well served to enhance and enable such collapses, by not providing fresh water, not draining swamps, not letting people have more than subsistence level food rations, not treating disease or interfering with conflicts which can contribute to a reduction in population, in order to be orderly and proactive in keeping population down. (By the way, Adolf Hitler was an enthusiastic acolyte of Malthus, and I will provide lots of quotes from "Mein Kampf" in which he endorses and expounds upon this view throughout. I will also provide similar extensive quotes from Al Gore's "Earth in the Balance" (Mein Welt?) which are identical in content) 

This is the conceptual starting point for my attack on Green Ideology, (not people who are Environmentalists) and my thorough rejection of Bernie Sanders campaign, which again, is not "Socialist", but an ideologically Green campaign, representing Neo-Malthusian principles.
