Who And What Are These Men And Women Of The Runaway Supreme Court?

Who And What Are These Men And Women Of The Runaway Supreme Court?

In my view, the five highpoints of American history were:

1) Our formation as the "United States" to declare independence from and to defeat the evil and genocidal worldwide colonial system of the British Empire.

2) Lincoln's defeat of the Confederacy and ending of slavery

3) FDR's leadership behind the New Deal and war mobilization to defeat fascism.

4) The centuries long African-American Civil Rights Movement defeat of the KKK and Jim Crow system, trailblazing for all future Civil Rights victories.

5) The greatest scientific achievement in human history, the lunar landing of 1969.

The historic role and function of the US Federal government in making these achievements possible was officially nullified two days ago with the precedent setting decision on "Roe vs. Wade."

The Supreme Court of the United States is at war with the American Constitution. They are at war with the "General Welfare" of the American people. And they are at war with the modern world and history itself. And yesterday the White House issued a statement that the President doesn't believe in expanding the Supreme Court in response to this decision. This is the stuff of which tragedies are made.

The Court in the majority opinion from Justice Alito is couching their decision in the doctrines of "originalism" and "states rights." These false and evil doctrines however are thinly disguised arguments for "creationism," the archaic religious view that the Christian Bible is literal historical truth, is written by God, and that the underpinnings of US Constitutional law are "Christian principles," based on the historical "Big Lie" that America's founders were Christian men of God first, and revolutionaries last. It is a nightmare, as if the verdict of the "Scopes Monkey Trial" had gone the other way a hundred years ago and we had devolved into a Christian fundamentalist theocracy, run by modern day Elmer Gantrys.

Yes, we know the fascist boogeymen who stand behind these judges. The Federalist Society, ALEC, "Dark money," Koch Industries, Betsy DeVos, the Mercers, the Catholic Bishops, the "Dominionists." But at a certain point, reading and talking about them becomes a substitute for fighting them. So many angry people today who want to rant about them were myopic idiots, who helped elect Trump by voting for Putin asset Jill Stein of the Green Party, or were pouting Sanders progressives who didn't vote at all, supressing Hillary's vote in the battleground states. Those folks should just shut up about ALEC and cristo-fascism and look in the mirror.

This Supreme Court has not merely turned back the clock. The originalists have annihilated the spirit and letter of the US Constitutional convention, and its provisions for continuing amendments to "defend the General Welfare," as the people's needs and circumstances change over time. In an act of counterrevolution, they have replaced our Judicial branch with a permanent standing Salem Witch trial, in both a methodological and historical sense.

They are mostly men, who believe God has personally anointed them to be the gatekeepers to Heaven and jurisprudence, and to wield temporal power to "separate the wheat from the chaff". These are the hypocrites and liars who assert the moral authority to decide life and death, whose claims to value human life are rendered into sophistical garbage, which are disguised as legalistic arguments by their utter disregard for the right to life of those already born. (as exemplified by their defense of the death penalty, for example). They are barbarians in Judges robes, which to be truly appropriate should be White and come with hoods instead. Were they alive in the times of ancient Rome, they would undoubtedly be out cheerleading at the Coliseum for the Lions to eat those early Christians which they profess to represent today.

Their philosophical and religious outlook is precisely the opposite of the very "Savior" in whose name these men assert the moral authority to decide who lives and dies. And their relation to the Constitution which they claim to be defending, because they say they know better than everyone what the original intent of its authors were, is a desire to tear it up, and return to the states rights system of the Articles of Confederation.

The "original intent" of these judges is the same as that of the delegates to the Constitutional Convention representing the southern slave states, who mostly opposed the very idea of a "United States" from the beginning. The framers of our Constitution, Hamilton, Madison, Franklin etal would be as reviled by the "originalist's" interpretation of their intentions today as would be Jesus Christ himself, were he resurrected and had opportunity to hear what Christians say they believe, and what they do in his name. Family pictures on Jesus' Birthday posing with AR-15s tells you what American Christianity has devolved into. That is the ugly face of the current religious culture and overriding perversity which has hijacked our Supreme Court.

This atrocious and murderous decision on "Roe vs. Wade" is both in the spirit and letter of the constitution of the Confederate States of America, not the United States of America. And that should cast some light on why these jackals in power suits are calling for a new Constitutional Convention, to throw the old one out. By now, seeing what they have done, and how they've defended what they've done, we should know what that means.

A movement of religious fanatics has attacked the American Revolution and all that is good in our history. They have launched a religious war against the progress of the modern world because of their belief in oligarchy, the belief that some are naturally selected by God and heredity as more fit to survive. They lay claim to what they call a superior genetic and racial heritage, and a theology which asserts their own moral superiority in the eyes of God, a God whom they have fashioned in their own image.

Meanwhile, as these modern day "Grand Inquisitors" are taking a hatchet to US law, our so-called opposition leadership in the White House is insisting that we should respect the Supreme Court's historic role by patently rejecting an effort to expand it, an action which if carried out would at least begin to address the unjust arrangement of minority rule. And as happened with FDR, who was fighting the GOP's anti-New Deal obstructionists in his day, the mere threat to do so could back them down from extending this decision into across-the-board Federal Law, or other such atrocities.

Our White House has refused to act decisively at almost every critical point to disrupt this religious war against America, which is called a "culture war."   They have refused to challenge the illegitimate fillibuster, the last possible remedy for defending our voting rights. You see, it is important that we respect rules and traditions of the Senate, and treat democracy's enemies with respect, decorum, and fraternity, while they are chopping off the heads of our citizens, not unlike the bloodthirsty French Jacobins after the fall of their Monarchy in 1789.

Right now, our leadership is compromised by the continued efforts to defend their failing approach. They sought unity and healing, compromise and bipartisanship with murderers and insurrectionists. It is the opposite of what Lincoln did. It is the result of corruption in the Democratic Party, because a susceptible President was misled by corporate influenced centrist advisors who played his profile. Unfortunately, the result of which is his refusal to believe that the GOP with which he dealt for decades in the Senate had turned into an enemy force against both the nation and him personally. Right now, unless they make a "bootlegger's turn," the Biden presidency is soon going to be a lame duck under impeachment, paralyzed by a GOP majority. It pains me to say this, as we are all so invested in this presidency as democracy's possible last chance.

We need a resistance. We need leadership.  As much as we want those things to come from the White House and Democratic leadership, it is not, it will not, based on their initial responses to these monstrous rulings. They are covering their asses, trying to appear to be fighting while still trying to keep the peace. It is reminiscent of England's "phoney war" against Hitler after his invasion of Poland, which continued until Churchill came in to get them mobilized, and the US intervention after Pearl Harbor.

That does not mean that all is lost. It means we have to move immediately to dump a losing strategy. Appealing to GOP moderates who longer exist is no plan. Hoping that the Democrats will turn out because of "anger and sadness" at these decisions is to ignore the factor of demoralization which has already taken hold due to the fact this was allowed to happen.  It is already fueling increased activism, no doubt. But nothing we do politically through elections or demonstrations can influence this Supreme Court. The red states are pretty much locked in. What demonstrations, strikes and public interventions can do is influence the President personally to start firing some people and change direction.

Presidential action is what is needed. They can't continue to punt, as have the President and Merrick Garland thus far with regard to Trump. As in the case with the "barely there" Gun Bill, they are looking for bipartisan solutions with the party in Congress which has become Nazified, and is trying to kill us.

The war has already started, and the White House are as conscientious objectors. They are trying to "help out" by working as medics and in the canteen but they won't fight the enemy. It is long past due for a White House shakeup. (He might consider, for example, getting Vice-President Harris off the sidelines. Stop burying her in an attempt to win over GOP suburbanites or anti-Biden progressives who don't like her)  And finally, the President must be made to understand that the time for peacemaking should wait until after we have defeated the enemy.

And enemies they are. Only the powers of the Presidency, and a mobilized citizenry together can stop them. It is time for Joe Biden to do what FDR would be doing were he leading in these circumstances. To declare war on the "economic royalists" as FDR described Wall Street. To help us overcome paralyzing fear. To "hit back" as he did with the Doolittle Raids after Pearl Harbor. To lift the nation onto his shoulders and carry us, even though he couldn't walk.

Pack the Court Joe. Kick their asses. Don't just sit there.
