 What You Need To Know About Russia Today

In 2012, Vladimir Putin returned to the Russian Presidency after taking a four year "break" as Prime Minister, during which time his appointed puppet Dmitry Medvedev served in his place to skirt the then two term Constitutional limit. 

When he came back to the Presidency it was with a new determination on two fronts for his "revanchist" agenda against the West. First was military/strategic aggression with respect to what Russia saw as the "buffer states" in their Western "near abroad". Second, was a renewed campaign to crush democracy at home and abroad. 

The basis for Putin's war on democracy was his drastically upgraded alliance with the Russian Orthodox Church, as the outgrowth of a mass eruption of Russian Nationalism which he both fed, and led. In this regard, he stoked the resurgence of the most base, hostile and fanatical tendencies in the Russian Church, which was characterized by the ROC prophecy of "The Third and Final Rome". 

In essence, The Third Rome outlook was the product of Czar Ivan (The Terrible) Grozny, who organized the Church and the nobility into an extreme Russian Nationalism in the aftermath of the Mongol invasions of the previous Century. The ROC adopted a synthetic belief in the prophecy of Russian mystics in the Church, that the infidels of the outside world would destroy themselves, and perish in a "rain of fire", and that Moscow and its adherents would survive and succeed Byzantium as the Capitol of a third and final Roman Empire. (The title "Czar" derives from Caesar, LFR)

All of the worst elements in Russia's history were products of this built-in cultural imperative, including the short lived Soviet period, notwithstanding the temporarily reduced role of the ROC during that time. This is analogous to the US Imperial tendencies which were a holdover of the Slaveholding Oligarchy which remained in alliance with the British Empire after our American Revolution, complete with their full package of Christian fundamentalism, radical Calvinism, religious persecution, and ethnic genocide. 

The Third Rome is the dark side of Russia, and the beast which the pragmatic non-believer Putin has embraced since his phoney conversion to the Russian Orthodox Christianity of his Mother, sometime in the mid 1990's, after the Soviet collapse. 

In 2012, Putin set about forging an alliance with the Russian Church to impose reactionary policies in Russia against gays, Muslims, other minorities, and democracy activists. He also sought to restrict abortion as his response to the demographic collapse in Russia since the early 90's. 

But most important, he created a major opening to the US and Western Europe. He sought out collaboration with the most extreme elements of the religious and political right-wing, which included American Evangelicals, the so-called Pro-life and family values movements, the NRA, the GOP leadership through groups like CPAC,  charismatic Catholics, Confederates, Separatists and even Neo-Nazis of the alt-right. And of course, they played their "Joker Card" enabling their leading asset groomed over a 40 year period, and controlled through Kompromat, Donald Trump. 

The gambit was for purposes of waging war on multi-cultural liberal democracy, unleashing a variety of Left vs Right conflict across all political, religious, gender, ethnic, and cultural lines. The objective was and still is chaos. This is what Putin set into motion when he re-emerged in 2012. 

What you see unfolding in front of you is the continuation of the ongoing operation launched by Putin and his allies back then. He is intervening into our National life by exploiting pre-existing historic cultural and political weaknesses and flaws, and playing them through his assets. The US political right wing is a strategic asset in a global game of chess, whose goal is reassertion of Russian Imperial projection, driven by the Third Rome impulse. In effect, it is the tinderbox for a global religious war through other means. 

When you take this all into account, it should answer some questions as to why the sudden devolution of the United States in many aspects. We have been tampered with. This rapid descent into mass insanity of the US is not "natural". 

So, consider this, and maybe rethink what we think we see and know on the surface about our current National crisis.
