Is Tucker Carlson A Russian Intelligence Asset?

Last month, in an article I posted here, I raised several questions regarding  whether Fox News fascist propaganda monger Tucker Carlson is a Russian asset. 

The revelation by Carlson himself that he was under NSA surveillance forced speculation as to why. It turns out that the surveillance of Carlson was unintentional, according to yesterday's news reports of an NSA statement. NSA was tracking a person or persons with Russian intelligence ties who mentioned on an intercept his association with someone fitting Carlson's description. Apparently Carlson has claimed he was trying to get an interview with Putin through backchannels. In the process of that operation, the unamed individual under discussion by the actual target subject was "unmasked" as Fox's resident fascist provocateur.  

I believe that it is possible Carlson is making the Putin interview claim as a cover story, trying to use his "journalistic responsibilities" as his excuse to participate in discussions with shadowy Russian intelligence assets. We already know that Carlson functions as a virtual Russian asset in four areas. 

1. His attempt to incite hostility and violence against the current administration 

2. His support for Trump's violent Coup attempt on January 6 and defense of the Nazi terrorists who staged it. 

3. His dissemination of Russian authored disinformation on covid vaccines, as an aspect of his ongoing campaign to create division, racial and religious conflict, and to encourage separatism and Secession from the Federal government.

4. His baseless and destructive personal and political attacks on the US Military and its leadership such as General Mark Milley, chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. 

So the obvious question to ask is "what is Carlson's operation really, since in the intelligence world nothing is as it seems"? What we see are shadows on the wall, rarely the full picture. 

One answer is that it is personal. Carlson is a Nazi. Like many Nazis in America today, he is a Russophile and adores Putin as the epitome of White Power, head of an autocracy with Nuclear Weapons which oppresses minorities and dissidents.

A second possibility is that it is political, meaning that he is so driven with his obsession to destroy the Lincoln/FDR/JFK Presidential tradition of deploying the Federal government on behalf of the "General Welfare" that he is courting Putin as a fellow adversary of Joe Biden to encourage Russia to humiliate the US in various ways (hacking, support for Taliban, crushing opposition within Russia) and to make Biden look bad. 

The third and likely answer is more mundane. It's just business, and Carlson is doing his job. Then we need to ask who Carlson is really working for. And right here is where one can see how the world works. Reality is that Carlson and Fox are desperate to win back Trump and his base. Murdoch's election call on the Arizona vote was the final straw in fracturing their relationship. Trump currently talks to Hannity and Ingraham, but otherwise tilts toward OAN and Newsmax. 

There are certain realities with Trump which provide context. He is miserable being out of power.  He is compromised by Russian intelligence. He is psychologically reliant on Putin's personal approval and advice. His January 6 terrorist "base" which supports Insurrection is led and organized by Russian Intelligence assets groomed and recruited in the US special forces and law enforcement. He needs Putin's advice and assets to divide the US, engineer chaos, suppress free elections, and return to power. His big problem now is that being stripped of the Presidency he cannot do the one thing which he did every week as President,,which is to talk directly to Putin on the phone to....coordinate. 

So, I am asking if there is a "Quid pro Quo" at work with Carlson and Trump, given what we know about Trump being entirely transactional in his relations. Trump in effect saying to Carlson, "hey, you want me back on board with you and Fox? Then you have to do something for me. Create a backchannel between me and Vlad so we can communicate through you as an intermediary. If anyone gets wind of it, tell them it's about an interview, you are just doing your job and trying to line up someone who is newsworthy, right? I need to dialog with Vlad, so set it up".  

That last scenario was my wife Martha's insight when I briefed her on this NSA business this morning, and I think it is plausible. Carlson's emergence onto the NSA radar screen could be the result of sloppy tradecraft by this Fox News media prostitute making himself available as Trump's backchannel to Putin, in exchange for a tilt back to Fox as Trump's "home base".  That would satisfy a mutual need for both. 

I believe that Carlson's stumble into the US Governments Security screening apparatus is the unintended consequence of such maneuvering. It not only makes sense, but the timing is completely coherent with Fox's open shift toward promoting Putin as against Biden in the leadup and aftermath of the Biden-Putin summit in Geneva last month. Fox is operating as a joint PAC for Trump and Putin, their goal to unleash Civil conflict, a Coup against Biden, and Trump's return to power with a hard fascist autocracy. It's all there. 

So, you guys out there who are still in the game should know what to do with this lead. Go after it.

Milton Friedman- The Man Who Revived Fascist Economics, and Called It "Freedom".

  You may have heard the name before, as he was featured in a PBS Series, titled "Free To Choose", also the title of his most famous and misnamed book. He was a prolific author, and widely publicized by Conservative News Media and Magazines, especially by the followers of William F. Buckley. In fact, Milton Friedman is the current top economic advisor to the so-called "movement conservatives", from Nixon to Reagan, to Newt Gingrich and Trumpworld,  and is still to this day the main architect of the GOP approach to dealing with the present economic crisis, though he has been keeping a low profile. How Do You Know If What You Are Reading Is True Or Useful? - A One Year Old Facebook Post

 How do we know whether what we are reading is true, or for that matter useful? There are many journalists in the US today who are not only excellent writers, but are just good people. They are well informed, have the best intentions and are highly professional.  I have to force myself to write, and it comes with great difficulty because I am blocked, and had little journalistic training. Without an editor I feel lost, and feel as though I want to rewrite everything or throw it out after I read it. Reading books and articles is my favorite hobby, and when I'm doing that I am in my happy place.  As of now I have 30 News and Magazine sites bookmarked and I read them everyday as a routine. I usually read anywhere from 2-10 articles in each, depending upon what newsworthy events are breaking that day. Plus I have a number of books on history that I have going at any one time.
