I'm currently re-reading a document declassified by the CIA in 1973, which was the compendium of research conducted under the auspices of the " Office of Strategic Services" (OSS),  the Wartime Center of US Intelligence during WWII under the leadership of  Col. William (Wild Bill) Donovan. In 1943, the OSS needed a Psychological profile conducted by our most qualified psychiatrists, into the mind of Adolf Hitler, in order to project into the near future, how Hitler would react and behave in the aftermath of the Allied Invasion of Europe which was being planned out. What does it mean to be a "Political Organizer"? In these times, we need more people to take this up, especially younger people. Does it mean phone calls in a "boiler room" to voters lists to get the vote out? Door to door pamphletting, petitioning for ballot access, fundraising? Several months ago, I posted two articles about the Royal Family, both here and on my Blog, the jist of which was that the scandal around Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein was much bigger than the story itself. I wrote that the House of Windsor was in an existential crisis which is tied to much larger political and strategic crises of the  British Empire and its Monarchy. I also said that we should expect even more events reflecting the spectacular unravelling of that institution.  Not surprisingly, we now can conjecture that the announcement of the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markel is a reflection of the same dynamic. It is only secondarily related to frictions within the Royal Family, and mistreatment of Ms. Markel by the British Tabloids. So, some deep thoughts. I'm tired of hearing the News outline the running total of all lies told by Trump since elected. Not because I believe anything he has said, but because it diminishes the evil of each lie, which gets lost in the sea of 62, 496 lies that have been catalogued by CNN. It lessens the horror and moral revulsion, contributing only to the sense of fatigue and numbness that sets in.  Without hypothesis and analysis, facts, data, and information mean very little. Doctors need more than vital signs and Lab work to make a diagnosis. It requires subjective insight, not just numbers. Only those with love, passion, and empathy, can see through the fog of data to find the problem, identify it, and treat it. That is true in Medicine Politics, Science, and Economics, Government, Administration of Justice, Global relations, and human relationships. Netanyahu told the US publicly to not to drag Israel into the Iran conflict, which is fairly disingenuous, given that he has been agitating for conflict with Iran, and was cheerleading for Trump's actions. He needs a National Security crisis more than Trump, since he is under indictment in Israel. Netanyahu is aware, as are Pentagon planners, that were Trump to retaliate again, Iran could launch missiles at Tel Aviv. The Israeli "Iron Dome" missile defense cannot protect Israel from High speed Iranian missiles. The next escalation could bring Israeli Nuclear weapons into play, which they have never admitted having, but certainly do. So, Trump was told to stand down by US Military leaders, and possibly Putin, because a Middle East War is too destabilizing, and unpredictable. Some important things to consider.  First, is that we need to begin thinking about what might be our worst possible outcomes, and scenarios, and prepare for them starting now. Start with the fact that we have a demonstrably mentally ill President, who should have been indicted, Impeached, or removed under the 25th Amendment already. That this has not happened should be an indicator that traditional concepts of politics, government, and elections no longer apply. Discussing candidates, electoral strategies, and Primaries, is akin to strategizing about or discussing a Ping Pong tournament in midst a Category 5 Tornado.  We are watching a Fascist takeover of the US Government, and facing WWIII. The form of Fascism which is taking hold is not Nazi style or even Italian style, but is uniquely American. It is not driven by Anti-Semitism, or anti-Communism. Here is a question. What is the rationale for assassinating a leader of your strategic adversary, when the Nation which he is leading is driven by fanaticism, Religious Fundamentalism, and actually glorifies Martyrdom? Conducting an assassination of someone whose successor is of the same ilk, whose policy is the same, commands the same loyalty, and which massively increases the willingness and desire of that enemy to fight and take reprisals, is one gigantic step into the Gates of Hell.  Very few people know their history these days.
