The Ugly Truth About Right-Wing "Charismatic Catholicism" --- Coup Plots, QAnon, Schism, Death Threats, Dirty Money and Insurrection

raises a question that answers itself. A significant group of American Bishops are stoking a schism or coup against Pope Francis. They are using the Catholic news service EWTN in the same way Trump is using Fox, OAN and Newsmax to vilify and attack Joe Biden.
Not coincidentally, the same right wing American bishops trying to force the removal of Pope Francis are leading the effort to organize against Biden, one small aspect of which is to deny him communion. They have also formed an alliance with the Trump evangelicals and GOP to obstruct the entirety of Biden's program.
Also not coincidental is that EWTN News TV network regularly provides a platform for QAnon connected radical right wing Trumpster, Carlo Maria Vigáno, ex Archbishop removed due to inflammatory public statements on behalf of Trump, and his conspiracy mongering against Biden. Vigano is also leading right-wing Catholic opposition to masks and vaccines. (Though not surprisingly he remains quiet about Monoclonal antibodies derived from fetal tissue which Trump and red state governors are pushing to their anti-vax base)
Another key figure in this insurrection against Francis is Cardinal Raymond Burke, who led the notorious fascist diocese in LaCrosse Wisconsin (until his removal by Francis) a key base for organizing the US hate campaign against Joe Biden. (Currently pulling the strings of Bishop Donald Hying of Madison Wisconsin, who helped write and promote the bishops letter calling on priests to deny communion to politicians who are pro choice) Burke is also a leading anti-vax organizer, who almost died of covid in August to make his point. Archbishop Jose Gomez is an important figure here as well, the point man in the bishop's conference for the anti-Biden operations.
This is not soap opera. Pope Francis said about the constant attacks from this network and the ongoing intrigues in the Vatican, "they want me dead". These right wing schismatics actually started organizing for a conclave to replace him before his complicated intestinal surgery in the Summer.
Here is what I wrote on January 29 about the background of Francis' illness.
["Pope Francis is trying to modernize the Church, and clean out the oligarchy's lapdogs in the Vatican Bank who have looted and stolen laundered money in large scale. Benedict has been intriguing within Vatican circles to force a resignation of Francis, and arrange for an extreme right-wing reactionary to succeed him.
Pope Francis has all but disappeared from public view, due to an illness described as sciatica. However, knowing what we know about the history of secrecy in Vatican affairs, I see no reason to give that story credence. There is the possibility that it is more serious, and that the internal struggle underway is actually a succession crisis"]
You will also take note that these networks are the same who denounce Francis as "the Devil" for defending Vatican II, overturning Benedict's edict on the Latin Mass, and his stances on immigration, sexuality, and the possibility of ending celibacy in the church. And we should be reminded that a major aspect of Vatican II was an attempt at overturning the Middle Ages carryover of institutional ant-semitism which led to the church's defacto alliance with Italian, German, and Spanish fascism. However on the political intelligence side of things, Francis recently sacked a whole grouping of Vatican officials who orchestrated the looting and funds diversion from the Vatican Bank, which insiders believe was being used as a slush fund for political operations to boost fascist right wing Parties attempting to come to power in Europe, such as LePen in France, AfD in Germany, and background support for the Orban government in Hungary. When you read about the efforts by the Polish government to suppress public education about Poland's role in the Holocaust, this is another window you have to look into the operations of these coup plotting schismatics in the Church.
And it must be said that Francis' enemies in the church are also part of the hard core enemies of President Biden, and they are working hand in glove against both. This is why I highlight the role of the schismatic Catholics around Trump who are deeply involved with Opus Dei, such as Steve Bannon, Michael Flynn, William Barr, Clarence Thomas, and others.
Pope Francis is not overreacting to these attacks. They had a plan for his removal which failed, and they are not finished. Just like they are scheming to remove President Biden, and have formed an alliance with QAnon to recruit people to this plan.
Never in my memory has a Pope openly come out and identified a faction of the church which is scheming to remove or murder him, and put the spotlight on the media network they are using to propagandize on behalf of this. This attempt to create "Civil War" in the Catholic Church is happening right out in the open, and Pope Francis is combatting it in the open. He is doing more to confront this insurrection in the Church than Joe Biden is against the insurrection targeting his government, by far.
The question becomes then, "what are we doing about this"? Are we observers, taking it all in, or do we challenge President Biden and his advisors to jump in and get their hands dirty with an all out political brawl against this movement for Sedition, insurrection, and coup plots?
Take a few minutes and absorb this article linked below. EWTN has a vast array of media and political resources which are being directed against Francis, who in his role IS the church itself, and simultaneously against Joe Biden, whose presidency is the last hope for defending our democracy.
