Salon writer Chauncey Devega posted on Facebook last night and presented a preview of his most recent article. (Linked below) He confronts the reader with the question, "where would the US be right now, one year after the events of January 6th if the Mob attacking the Capitol had been composed of African Americans, Muslims and other minorities, instead of the right wing white "Christians" who were the perpetrators"? What would have been done then, and what would be the consequences of those actions today?  He also confronts his readers and the mainstream media with their willful self-delusion and softness on the question of America's legacy of racism which leads them to soft pedal or deny the extreme danger which we face going forward. Two Years ago today, I rolled out an assessment for the year 2020, before covid really hit. Merrick Garland's testimony yesterday has generated some optimism that he might go after the leadership of the Insurrection. I'm not here to throw cold water on that idea, because I don't rule it out.  However, if Trump himself is charged with anything less than Sedition Conspiracy I am concerned that it will not work. If, as was alluded to by Liz Cheney and Benny Thompson, the Committee is considering recommending charges be brought for "dereliction of duty" due to his three hour delay in calling off the riot, I believe it is an ineffective "side door" approach which avoids the greater crime committed. Well well, what do we have here? Tucker Carlson appears to have adopted the outlook of British Fabian Socialist leader and degenerate cynic Lord Bertrand Russell in advocating for a global Neo-Malthusian policy of racist, forced population reduction through genocide. (Link below) This is to me unsurprising, since Russell was the earliest promoter of the famously Carlson endorsed fascist "Replacement Theory", asserting that the White Race is threatened by the overproliferation of the inferior non-white populations of the developing world. This was my comment on the coverage of the House Select Committee on January 6th request for cooperation by Fox "Entertainer" Sean Hannity, who it appears was deeply involved as a consultant to Donald Trump before, during and after the Capitol riot up until this very day.
