Erik Prince Offered "Lethal Services" To Russian Mercenary Firm Wagner Group In 2020

The Rosen Report has covered extensively the mutual affinity between the re-emergent extreme nationalist elements of Russia's Putin government and various "Alt-Right" white nationalist and ex-military groupings in the US and Europe. One aspect of this is the known relationship between Erik Prince and the Russian government. TRR covered this story last year.

In 2020 Prince, brother of former Trump De-Education Secretary Betsy Devos, sought a contracting agreement with the Putin-directed Wagner Group to provide lethal services in Central Africa, the details of which are outlined in the "Intercept" article linked below.

This is relevant as of now because of Ukrainian's reports confirmed today that Putin's paramilitary mercenary group is deployed in Ukraine and engaged in combat. They have an estimated 400 mercenaries there whose sole mission is to assassinate President Zelenskyy. Of twelve failed attempts so far, at least two have been made by Wagner, which is owned directly by the sanctioned Putin insider known as "Putin's Chef," Dmitry Utkin.

 It is vital that any previous or lingering business, security or intelligence relations between Prince's mercenary firm and Russia be investigated and exposed now, and if found, appropriate actions be taken to penalize them to the full extent. Prince and his collaborators are at the center of efforts in the US to privatize police forces to have them operate on a for-profit basis in a scenario reminiscent of the 1980's sci-fi film "Robocop." This means US Law Enforcement functions at state and local levels would be assumed by armed mercenaries, provided by a company which had once offered to send death squads to Africa in partnership with Russian mining interests there. 

This is a little mentioned but obvious move which is designed to further the goals of an autocratic one-party dictatorship sought by the Trumpian GOP. Might governors like DeSantis of Florida hire Prince's armed "mercs" to enforce voter suppression legislation at the polls in the future? 

Prince's outfit and influence is an operation which needs to be dismantled. The fact that they pursued a lethal business relationship with Putin's "butchers of Ukraine" is something that should not fall through the cracks.

Milton Friedman- The Man Who Revived Fascist Economics, and Called It "Freedom".

  You may have heard the name before, as he was featured in a PBS Series, titled "Free To Choose", also the title of his most famous and misnamed book. He was a prolific author, and widely publicized by Conservative News Media and Magazines, especially by the followers of William F. Buckley. In fact, Milton Friedman is the current top economic advisor to the so-called "movement conservatives", from Nixon to Reagan, to Newt Gingrich and Trumpworld,  and is still to this day the main architect of the GOP approach to dealing with the present economic crisis, though he has been keeping a low profile.  How do we know whether what we are reading is true, or for that matter useful? There are many journalists in the US today who are not only excellent writers, but are just good people. They are well informed, have the best intentions and are highly professional.  I have to force myself to write, and it comes with great difficulty because I am blocked, and had little journalistic training. Without an editor I feel lost, and feel as though I want to rewrite everything or throw it out after I read it. Reading books and articles is my favorite hobby, and when I'm doing that I am in my happy place.  As of now I have 30 News and Magazine sites bookmarked and I read them everyday as a routine. I usually read anywhere from 2-10 articles in each, depending upon what newsworthy events are breaking that day. Plus I have a number of books on history that I have going at any one time.
