September 13, 2023To answer my own question, because most of us who are "woke" make the possibly tragic blunder of assuming that they actually give a shit about the issues they campaign on.
They don't care about any of it. They grandstand for purposes of doing performance art for their dumbass moronic voters and donors. Everything they do is toward getting re-elected from the instant their vote totals are final and they get in. This does not mean in any way that they are less destructive in their real world operations, just that what they are doing has little to do with what they say it does, in most cases. They are playing to "their crowd," and their crowd spends as much time in Church as they do because the mental hospitals are too full to hold them.
The MAGAt "Christian patriots" leadership are not simply cynical, they are chameleon-like sub-lizards who would go on a Tinder date with Kim Jong Un's "Little Sister," or marry into the Saudi Royal Family if their re-election depended on it. The issues they claim to stand for are strictly limited to those where they can confidently get up and speak in front of their christo-fuckhead audiences and lie like the intellectually dead lizards which they are, and still feel comfortable getting into character like a good method actor, in order to sell themselves to said fuckheads as "the candidate who thinks like them." Which of course means to not think at all.
What differentiates them from each other is their ability to manage their personal rages and hatreds, and in what manner or context they choose to not control either when it is convenient, when the calculated use of which helps them to whip up their constituents enough to raise money from them. Just look at their ads, and remind yourselves who Josef Goebbels was. Also, if they are not psychopathic mentally incompetent grifters like George Santos, they will retain highly rated accounting and law firms to help them get away with legally conducting financial and fundraising fraud.
Much of what they raise are bundled contributions coming from corporations, along with Churches and their affiliated non-profit organizations, which under federal law are not allowed to give to campaigns directly, so they have a whole system for getting around the FEC. I was a decades long political fundraiser, and I could write the book on how this all works. I know these people. Fundamentally, their political campaigns are jumping-off platforms for attaining wealth and power in the private sector anyway, during or after their terms. Rising to the top in a social darwinist war against their rivals is what drives them more than anything, because that war is their preferred way of having sex. They are true "Fellatio Alger" stories, climbing up from their knees to the pinnacles of power.
Every piece of political advertising, every speech they give, is a form of mind bending or psychological profiling designed to trigger the cash cathexis of their extremely debased base, so they can "suck the eyeballs out of them" (a fundraisers expression) to get campaign donations and dark money. This talent they mastered by studying TV preachers. ("Give money now or watch your children become human sacrifices of Satanic cannibals. Or, on the flip side, "fund our 'great crusade' for small 'guvamint' and prosperity will come your way, wink wink.") They are, pardon me if this is insulting to sex workers or gross, like lapdancers, and their so-called anti-woke "positions" are the sexy outfits they put on in the back rooms in order to help their customers get off. They are Christian nationalist political "hoes," selling it on the street.
A perfect example of this lower life form is the slimiest of the slime, Ted Cruz, who throughout the January 6th attack on the US Capitol (during the coup attempt he helped organize) spent most of his time in his seat on his phone "working" his donors list in order to fundraise off of the insurrection. Yes, Ted makes tons of money personally selling his book in bulk, for those who haven't heard. The legal challenge to that loophole even went to the Supreme Court which unsurprisingly green-lighted this practice.
So, as I see it, the most common misconception by us is in not recognizing that these sociopaths don't really give a flying fuck about any issue which comes out of their own mouths in their own name. Maybe the most mentally impaired among them like Senator Tommy Tupperware, Forrest Gump's evil twin, and Congressman Louis Gohmert of Tex-ass, passionately believe in the veracity of something they read once in "The Turner Diaries," (uh, forget them reading anything, make that the audio book version) but that's about all. Oh, yes, there are a few super-ideological lunatics like Rand Paul and Tom Cotton who are "educated" and believe in their own greatness enough to drink their own Kool-Aid. Yet we continue to be sucked into their game of fighting them on their "hot button" single issues, one by one, instead of fighting THEM! We need to shift gears and make what they are doing backfire.
All they are doing is waving red capes in front of their lists of mindless idiots in a bull ring. The idiots lunge for the cape, and we chase after the bull. Yes, the bull is dangerous and does severe damage to people in the ring, but we are being played in an orchestrated series of staged events by being preoccupied with our own "red cape" issues. Instead, we should stop chasing the bull, climb out of the ring, and seek out collaborators that are committed to defeating our adversary on every issue, not just the ones we personally care about.
"No, there are things I personally care about," says the huffy liberal activist. "Let those other Democrats campaign for the things they are for, or against." "I'm against white supremacy, or, I'm for women's bodily autonomy, and I'm for fighting climate change, I'm for defending workers rights, I'm for defending LGBTQ rights, I'm for canceling student debt, I'm for gun control," etc etc. All noble causes. And the participants in each believe that their issue surpasses the others in importance, and believe that enlisting others to fight on that battleground is the best way to defeat fascism.
So, it is said by Democratic pundits that our greatest strength is in our diversity. Is it, really? Well, hello folks, It's only a strength if our various diverse constituencies share a common purpose and fucking work together on it. Are we doing that? Fuck no. Those who are trying to do this need to try harder, because it's not enough. If it were, why in the name of Mussolini's mother is a minority party so close to imposing a fascist dictatorship? Because they have the money? Keep believing that piece of self-delusional excuse making, and see how it works for you. It's because too many Democrats are running off in different directions "doing their own thing," which if it continues, will amount to "no thing."
I'm telling you, that single issues affecting one group or another are not going to drive the Democratic voter turnout that we need. Single issue organizing is not potent organizing. It is populism, it is heteronomy, it reinforces a victimized identity, and it divides your own forces faster than you can say "General Custer." And unfortunately in the end, campaigning on "your issue" alone will go the way of Weimar unless Biden serves a second term.
So we operate in our own personal universes, while our enemies are 100% unified by their rage, race-hatred, stupidity, and belief in the divine anointment of Russian agent Donald Trump as the man who is going to bring Jesus back. Like lemmings prepared to follow their christo-fascist leaders over the cliff, they are in lockstep. I'm writing more stridently than usual about this (as you might have noticed) because what we are currently doing is going to fail. The polls are not entirely wrong, and if the vote is remotely close and even if Biden wins, the consequence will be a civil war. Everything we are doing or not doing now has to be measured against our preventing that outcome.
We need a landslide for Joe Biden. Every goddamned one of our personally important single fucking issues should come in a close second to that. Better to have a discussion about this now, and not next year, while all of us are busy Googling and downloading PDFs from the government of Singapore to research their immigration laws.
Listen, I am an optimist. Really. But some people need to wake the fuck up, and understand what we are doing wrong, and why. Not you folks, reading this. Most of you are already there, and have followed my train of thought long enough to know where this is coming from. I want this message rattling the cages of the DNC and Biden campaign organization. I was a political organizer and fundraiser for 35 years, and on this, I know what I'm talking about. What do we think is the real objective of their goddamned impeachment operation against Joe, knowing in advance that it's not going to work? You already know the answer. He is eighty years old. For people worried about his age, better to worry instead about what our enemy is doing to age him faster. (See photo below)
Anyone who gets it might want to make a list of who could benefit by reading this, and not just your regular circle of Facebook friends, but groups, organizations, pundits, etc. The clock is ticking. I have have less and less time to fuck around by being diplomatic and sensitive. But for my friends, I'm here to help, and you know I will be Mr. Nice Guy if there are questions.
