Trump, The "Beast Man"--

Trump, The "Beast Man"--

Two days ago I posted a piece to address what we might expect from Trump, as he appears to be undergoing a new phase of mental breakdown. Here is a news story from the Independent which should be a reference point for that assessment.

One point worth considering is the evaluation earlier this year of noted Psychiatrist and author Dr. Justin Frank in interviews with Thom Hartmann and Chauncey Devega. Trump has an erotic addiction to violence. Meaning that he obtains psycho-sexual gratification from acts of violence which are either incited by him, committed in his name, or for which he has a strong personal identification. It characterizes and identifies the source of his lifetime of alleged sexual assaults on women in his periphery, and attempts to subordinate those to whom he allows access.  It is obsessive and compulsive, and likewise the not so hidden secret of his appeal to his hard-core base, comprised of militias, Nazis, racist conspirophiles, misogynistic men, and Armageddonist Christians. Violence is their true identity, committed in the name of the twisted and false deity which they construct in their own image.

For him, the events of January 6th, like the vigilante shootings by Kyle Rittenhouse, the use of rubber bullets, batons and tear gas against protesters, the pro-Trump Charlottesville Nazis use of cars to murder counterprotestors, the attempted murder and kidnapping of Governor Whitmer at his incitement, are among the things which "get him off." These events replay in his mind like an endless porno reel loop, feeding his addiction and always demanding more of it to sustain his sexual thrillseeking.  And he will never stop. Not even in prison.

There have been many studies historically on the varieties of psycho-sexual pathology among dictators, cult leaders, fascist and pseudo-religious figures who thrive upon sexual violence or associated imagery. This is reflected in the social Darwinist view of "survival of the fittest" and genetic theories of intelligence which are projected into their politics of hiearchy, patriarchy, dominionism, and a "law of the jungle" unbridled free-market economic philosophy.

So yes, Trump is entering a new realm of mental instability and erotically driven rage. But his posting of these comments is not so bizarre as it appears on the surface. His remarks are of a piece with Adolph Hitler's racial vision that he, with a small group of his intimates, represent superior evolutionary beings who are incapable of being wrong, chosen by destiny and biological necessity, who reject the very notions of empathy and compassion, and feel compelled to inflict violence or use the threat of it to seize those things to which he believes he is entitled.

Therefore, those commentators who write or argue that Trump will fade out, not run for re-election, is finished or otherwise losing influence, claiming that if we ignore him he'll just go away, are ignoring both the nature of his mental illness, and the degree to which millions of his followers have been caught up in his shared psychosis. Those commentators are not only wrong, they are destructive and serve his purpose of lulling people to underestimate the threat he represents.

He has forfeited what little humanity he ever had. He is a "beast-man." And here he is, saying it himself.

Addendum: A brief note:

In my article of two days ago, "Trump, The Beast Man," I commented on the coverage by "The Independent" of Trump's posting a nature documentary with his own comparisons between himself and a Lion in the wild, a narcissistic psycho-sexual fantasy which points toward an ongoing mental breakdown.

I neglected to mention the utter depravity implied by his comparison, meaning, the simple fact that a male Lion can mate as many as 100 times a day, for as many as five days straight. I also neglected to mention something that I'm sure many are aware of, that each act averages a duration of 17 seconds. I'm not sure Trump mentioned this fact either, which is not surprising.
