Close Down Truth Social, Trump's Platform For Terrorist Threats And Seditious Conspiracy. 

Yesterday, as I posted in my coverage of the news story, Trump threatened Mitch MConnell's life, and used hate speech against his wife Elaine Chao. He is inciting his violent supporters to target his enemies, which will, as it already has in the case of the Ohio shooter who attacked the Cincinnati FBI office, lead to more bloodshed.

This is what he did on Twitter, which helped get him banned. (Along with his spread of disinformation.)  In effect, Trump uses social media in the same way that Osama Bin Laden and ISIS used Al-Jazeera, who at the time incited, directed, defended and covered terrorist acts, from suicide bombings to beheadings. Trump needs to be deplatformed from his own platform now, in the name of national security.  

This has been done before. Pro-Nazi radio Priest Father Charles Coughlin was taken off the air, because of his role as the lead national spokesman for "America First," Adolph Hitler's Fifth Column in the US. Likewise, during the US Civil War, President Lincoln ordered the closing down of pro-Confederate newspapers in the North which were giving aid and comfort to the rebellion. 

They will invoke the First Amendment, with the same malignant lying approach as they've used toward their abuse of the Second Amendment. Nevertheless, the Biden administration must act against Trump's Truth Social, Gab, Telegram, Rumble, and other platforms engaged in sedition and inciting terrorism. 

Calling upon heavily armed psychopaths to assassinate the Senate Minority Leader is not opinion or protected free speech. Anyone arguing that it is, is either an accomplice, or a broken and compromised victim of Trump's campaign of terror. The fact that his platform is a safe haven for neo-nazis and the terrorist QAnon, and openly promotes "The Storm," means he is engaged in criminal conspiracy.  The fact that he has done this and no steps were taken to charge Trump with making terroristic threats is an indication of how far he has pushed the envelope of lies and violent speech, and how we have adapted to it, more with each outrage which we just brush off with "Oh, that's just Trump being Trump." 

People are going to die because of how Trump is using his platform. Whoever needs to hear this should not wait until it happens. Sometime, somewhere, the United States must take a stand against not only Trump personally and his crimes, but against the movement which follows him, which is seditious and in a state of rebellion against the US. This is not just about bringing Trump to justice. It is about re-establishing the principle of Justice and equal treatment for Americans. 

Gag Donald Trump. Do it now.

Addendum, a note: 

My above proposal has virtually no prospect of happening, at the moment. My purpose in floating it is to simply state what should be done, in a political universe which used to be described as "normal," relatively speaking. The fact that we know it likely will not be done forces to the forefront our awareness that the purpose of his escalating calls for violence is to get us to accept it as the new normal. And to give us the self-conscious knowledge that our mainstream media is complicit in this by covering his statements as if it is just "news," as opposed to a crime against civility. 

We can't do much besides vote in large numbers and educate our friends. But we can get in the faces of our regional news media and challenge them to stop legitimizing terrorism and the language of violence. This is how we can outflank and discredit the MAGA campaign to brand Democrats as "soft on crime."Hey, MAGA liars, you say we are soft on crime, your Führer just threatened your Senate Minority Leader and his wife. Tell me again your stance on crime." Or words to that effect.

Milton Friedman- The Man Who Revived Fascist Economics, and Called It "Freedom".

  You may have heard the name before, as he was featured in a PBS Series, titled "Free To Choose", also the title of his most famous and misnamed book. He was a prolific author, and widely publicized by Conservative News Media and Magazines, especially by the followers of William F. Buckley. In fact, Milton Friedman is the current top economic advisor to the so-called "movement conservatives", from Nixon to Reagan, to Newt Gingrich and Trumpworld,  and is still to this day the main architect of the GOP approach to dealing with the present economic crisis, though he has been keeping a low profile. How Do You Know If What You Are Reading Is True Or Useful? - A One Year Old Facebook Post

 How do we know whether what we are reading is true, or for that matter useful? There are many journalists in the US today who are not only excellent writers, but are just good people. They are well informed, have the best intentions and are highly professional.  I have to force myself to write, and it comes with great difficulty because I am blocked, and had little journalistic training. Without an editor I feel lost, and feel as though I want to rewrite everything or throw it out after I read it. Reading books and articles is my favorite hobby, and when I'm doing that I am in my happy place.  As of now I have 30 News and Magazine sites bookmarked and I read them everyday as a routine. I usually read anywhere from 2-10 articles in each, depending upon what newsworthy events are breaking that day. Plus I have a number of books on history that I have going at any one time.
