Why I've Been "Trolling" MAGA On Twitter-
Why I've Been "Trolling" MAGA On Twitter-
--A response to an outraged friend who is incredulous at the sheer lying insanity of our adversary'--
Everything coming out of their mouths, the policies they stand for, the appeals they make to their base, are destructive lying homicidal garbage. Their so-called program is nothing but recycled Nazism, a social/economic program to kill off those they consider "unfit to live" through a form of national triage. They are not "far right" extremists. They are murderers, both of people, and of the truth. Our greatest problem is that most of our Democratic leaders, most of you, just won't say it that way.
The leading MAGA spokesmen only have the power that they do because of our years long passivity, our being so damned respectful, polite, tolerant, and pacifistic over years, in refusing to directly confront this. We've deluded ourselves in believing that rational debate and facts would amount to anything with people whose religious and ideological fanaticism is the same as that of the Nazis or Ku Klux Klan. They've been waging war on truth and reason, while we've been so f**king nice in trying to use persuasion and factual argumentation. They've begun book burning and setting up a "pro-life" police state, while we've been on the internet doing look-ups in order to pile up debating points to refute them.
We've allowed ourselves to be misled by media pundits who have held us back from effective resistance by pushing the line, "let the legal process play out, have patience, it takes a long time to build an airtight case." So we have been acting like courtroom spectators sitting back and cheerleading for our legal team, while the enemy has been building their forces on the ground for taking over the election machinery to steal the vote, now and in the future. They built a movement based on a platform of lies, and recruited an army of zombies, while we stayed home looking up their statements on Snopes to "fact-check" them.
We gave power to their Nazi style churches and media because to use government regulatory or law enforcement agencies to limit their lies and propaganda would "look bad" for civil libertarians concerned about the First Amendment. As an example of this timidity, remember how the Democrats sat there and watched Trump's SCOTUS nominees lie to their faces for hour after hour about their intentions and beliefs. And remember how f**king respectful and polite they were in just letting it all go.
The Democratic leadership has been, with the exception of a few, (and you know who they are) thoroughly gutless, and shown little signs of fight until after January 6th, when the reality of what MAGA is finally sunk in. Some of them came close to dying that day, a reality they could no longer brush off due to political considerations or "optics." They Impeached Trump, but bungled it with an overly legalistic approach in 2020 which "played within the rules" of Senate traditions and propriety. They didn't really go for the jugular, they just tried to weaken him in the year leading up to the election. The second Impeachment likewise, the intent being more to just make sure he didn't run again than to actually convict him, again, with exceptions.
But even after January 6th, the Democrats who wanted to go after Trump personally and his MAGA conspirators were told to stand down, in the name of bipartisanship, unity and healing, and the deluded effort to boost "MAGA moderates." That misleadership came from White House centrist adviser to the President, Anita Dunn, and her allies in the West Wing.
The Biden administration should have declared war on the insurrection from day one. They should have deployed massively against the filibuster, packed SCOTUS, started a Grand Jury against Trump immediately and mobilized to expel the J6 criminals from Congress. Instead, they did the equivalent of what a person does in ignoring a cancerous lump, hoping it will go away, self-treating with home remedies, and waiting until it's spread all over to go to a real doctor.
Why did our leaders wait so long, why the hesitancy and timidity? Because of all of the confrontations that you, the reader, didn't have, with your friends, clients, family members, co-workers, even spouses, because you wanted to keep the peace. Not all of you, because I know generally that many people here have severed relationships with MAGA fascists in their lives. But not enough. Not enough to cause a shift in the fighting orientation of our meek and mild leaders, who thought that enacting federal government programs that delivered services would be good enough to buy off a chunk of MAGA moderates, to show them that "government works." The reality is that followers of MAGA see government as a virtually satanic enemy. Many are ex-military and their families or others, who have in fact been so royally f**ked by the government in the past, that trying to sell them on the Democratic agenda is like trying to convince an Evangelical Christian to convert to Islam. What we needed to do was to disable the MAGA leadership, disrupt their logistics, and demoralize their army. Instead we chose unity and bipartisanship with murderers.
So, the White House, Democratic leadership, and many of you have been in denial about what Trump would do, and what MAGA is, the level of rage and irrationality which runs it, and unfortunately our leadership keyed off of that. Thankfully, President Biden has had a recent epiphany in this regard, and has been more combative in the recent months as we close in on the election. But is it in time? We simply don't know.
That's why I've been telling people, give this election our best shot, but at the same time, build a resistance movement which is prepared to fight in a long domestic conflict, whether a cold or a hot one. You can see by how their minds work that they are mindless, and driven by pure rage and hatred. That's why I've been posting their Twitter vomit and trying to show people that facts mean nothing to them, at all. Don't respond by mopping up their vomit. You have to deploy against their sick outlook, their perverse ideology, their life of lies and hypocrisy and destructive personal identities. Otherwise they "own you" if you respond within their terms of reference. You need to treat them like criminals caught in the act. You don't try to argue with or persuade a rapist in the middle of an act of rape. You go for their balls.
I'll say it again. This stopped being politics a long time ago.
Likewise, we are well advised draw strength from the history of our predecessors who have faced similar circumstances and perservered, and successful examples of leaders whose policies have worked. Do what we must in the here and now, but do it with a living, breathing concept of our past accomplishments, and the unrealized potential awaiting us in the future. Don't fight for "cookie crumbs," instead build a bakery.
In my own way, using the weapons that I have, I'm trying to mobilize people onto the right battlefields, and help them to better understand their adversary and where their weaknesses lie. Use their rage and stupidity against them like a Judoka uses the strength and force of an adversary to throw them to the ground. God helps those who help MAGAs f**k themselves.
On that note, my next piece will be a psycho-analytical study on MTG's and Boebert's gun addiction as a form of penis envy. Signing off.
Addendum-- in response to a friend's remarks on the designation "far right" to describe Italy's Meloni, and MAGA in general
________,sometimes I think that the whole "left vs right" designation is arbitrary and misleading. It goes back to the seating arrangement in the French parliament after their revolution.
Lumping ideas, policies, movements and people into a category and sticking a label on it becomes a convenience, and can actually short circuit what we ourselves would like to do. It's a kind of packaging, and we all know as consumers that the packaging of a product is rarely a true metric of its quality.
So I try to discourage the use of left and right as sometimes counterproductive and superficial. We are too dependent on labels, slogans, and categorization in making our judgments, in the name of keeping things simple for people. In these times, "simple" is going to get us killed, in my humble opinion.
