Trump "Comes Out" As Full QAnon- A Strategic Overview

Trump "retruthed" this photo on his anti-social media platform yesterday, depicting himself as having gone "full QAnon." As the expression goes, "let that sink in." He is cornered, and now is no longer even making the pretense of politics.
Two weeks ago I posted a piece on the significance of his call for immediate reinstatement, which the terrified and infantile mainstream media tried to spin into a snarky meme along the lines of "Oh, he's just going nuts." Maybe now that he is openly "coming out" as the rallying point of a movement which our intelligence agencies have deemed a high level terrorist threat, some of those people will get serious.
Trump has been building a private army of Brownshirts, militias and vigilantes since no later than 2017. We now have confirmation from Habermann of the New York Times that he had no intention of leaving the White House even if Biden was inaugurated. He was prepared to launch civil war back then, as he is today. This version however is not dependent on state secession, though that is certainly on the agenda for the "states rights" crowd in his base. It is an uprising of pseudo-Christian "Jonestown style" white supremacists and religious zealots, which like the hard core of Hitler's Nazis, are largely comprised of broken military veterans, racist cops, and Pastors from Nazified churches who lead flocks of heavily programmed acolytes. This would be a war of stochastic terrorism, insurgency and partisan warfare, targeting their "anti-Christian" enemies.
And yes, along with their traditional misogyny, racism against POC and intent to persecute LGBTQ persons, they are deeply anti-semitic, their posturing in defense of Israel notwithstanding. At heart, they believe Jews are behind the socialist radical "woke" conspiracy to destroy Christianity in the US. This is the psychological profile of the QAnon adherents which Trump is calling to war by posting this photo.
It is crucial to understand that every time we see an article headlined, "why there won't be a civil war," or asking "will there be a civil war," it indicates that a significant faction of the US liberal establishment is still deep in denial. They refuse to believe that this is Trump's intention, instead running the mostly false narrative that it is all a money-making grift for him. Secondly, they are lying to themselves about the degree of radicalization of Trump's base, choosing instead to churn out "happy talk" articles about so-called Republican moderates turning away from Trump. They are more concerned to not scare away viewers and lose advertisers than to tell the truth. Or in the worst cases, they are right-wing media networks owned by Libertarian fascist Billionaires, who believe in Ayn Rand's wet dream of a violent tear down of The State in order to make the world safe for oligarchs, and who therefore see Trump's MAGA as the battering ram for doing so.
The question for most of us regarding the ostensible liberal opponents of Trump is, "why the continued miscalculation and blind hysteria?" Because frankly, they refuse to look at history, being mental prisoners of their own personal tiny life-span, in which everything which came before and comes after them has little or no relevance. Today's media pundits are to large extent products of the "live for today" generation. This is why for the most part they never saw anything like Trump coming, and still don't get what he is doing, with rare exceptions.
It is useful to step back for a moment and recognize that the US has undergone an actual plague. One that continues to come back in a variety of ways, accompanied by the resurgence of old epidemic diseases. Because of the preponderance of Christian fundamentalism and the decades of political/religious baggage associated with it, a large segment of the American population has psychologically snapped in response to this plague in a way that those of most other developed nations have not.
Likewise, since the collapse of the Soviet Union, the US has been engaged in a literal "Thirty Years War" global conflict with Islam, what was described by historian Samuel P. Huntington as "The Clash Of Civilizations." Too many historians and pundits treat this period as though it were punctuated by four of five unique conflicts in separate circumstances, occurring in different theaters of war. However, reality for Americans, including emphatically service men and and women, their families, and those with ties to national defense, is that it has been one long war, against one defined enemy. And instead of "punctuating" the last thirty years of US history, it has defined it.
Literally, a collective kind of nervous breakdown has occured as a consequence of the last decades "slow boil" of conflict and catastrophes, with 9-11, the pandemic, the George Floyd related racial justice demonstrations, and the fascist packing of the Supreme Court being inflection points. And that has made the US vulnerable to the misleadership of Trump and the various forms of mass insanity, chaos and violence which awaits us, irrespective of the November election outcome. This is what the media and most Americans don't see, because they don't want to see it. It is too frightening.
QAnon is an "old wine in a new cask." It is a recurrence of mass-psychosis which Europe experienced in the 14th Century, and re-erupted again in the 20th Century, both of which were characterized by long wars and devastating plagues, in which any pretense of economic or social stability was destroyed and bloodthirsty cults abounded, unleashing decades of religious warfare and violent purges. This is not your parent's fundy Christian Megachurches of the Falwell/Billy Graham/700 Club era. QAnon and its allies are a different animal entirely.
This is not by any means an inevitable cycle of history which is bound to repeat. Rather, it is the emergence of a mass based cult whose leadership has consciously resurrected the most destructive violent ideologies of the past, rooted in paranoia, superstition, and the belief that only a mass bloodletting can purge mankind of its sins. They believe our current travails are God's punishment for a spiritually wicked and decadent people, and that only a small group of adepts with secret knowledge, armed and mindless soldiers, and a personal line of communication to God can save civilization. They couch their committment to a national bloodbath as them exercising their "religious freedom." However, as history has shown, the end game of such "End Times" cults are murder/suicides in large numbers.
This movement of psychologically broken religious zealots has impossibly anointed Donald Trump, the most unreligious political figure in US history, as their god-sent savior. And it is a role he has happily accepted because of his supreme narcissism and ego, nothing else.
You'll be reading more in-depth material here about some of this relevant history, as it applies to QAnon, Trump personally, and the current potential flashpoint for religious and race war in the US taking shape in Pennsylvania. You'll read about the "who's who," the organizations, and some background on the recent iterations of their insanity, (such as NAR, New Apostolic Reformation) masquerading as their brand of politics. And I'll have recommendations for how to address some of this, which on the surface might seem unlikely possibilities. Truthfully, if we ignore this underlying reality, the chances of democracy surviving are even more unlikely, so we have no room for cynicism or pessimism. Those who take the time to read will form their own judgments, but once again, I believe that our survival depends upon not only the upcoming election result, but to think through past the election what will happen afterward, and what role we ourselves can play.
November is just the beginning. If the picture below has registered, that should be evident. But conversely, it is a good thing that he is "out." It is far better to have finally put some of the delusions to rest.
