Written One Year Ago Today- Question From A Friend, "Who Masterminds Trump?"

This is a year old. The only thing I would add is that he has succeeded in purging the GOP of any effective opposition. He has total control of the RNC. And the Supreme Court has been tearing apart a century of Constitutional settled law in anticipation of his return to power. His post-White House "revenge tour" has increased his grip in the last year. And just like his role model, Norman Bates, he still is trying to impress his Mother by having his name on Hotels.

A new Facebook friend asked me today about Trump's "sinister plan" for a Fascist takeover, remarking on his obvious lack of intelligence as evidenced by his moronic statements and tweets. The question being, "since he couldn't come up with this by himself, who masterminds Trump"? 

The following is my answer, which as usual is long winded and not really the answer most are looking for. I could have made short shrift and said, "Trump's mother is his mastermind". (ref. see Bates, Norman, Candidate, Manchurian,  Oedipus Complex)  However, since that is "low hanging fruit", and others have raised this question too, (and I'm in a loquacious mood) I thought this very good question should be addressed, just to help along a few discussions. 

"____ you are correct, he is not intelligent. He is feral. For years he was simply a headline grabbing public persona, a celebrity playboy wheeler dealer who was a publicity seeker, and travelled in the jet set circles. All he had was the 500 million he inherited from his father. 

He latched on to NY Mob circles and had political protection from investigations of his shady real estate and construction deals through his lawyer and mentor Roy Cohn, who had extensive ties to the Hoover "old boys" at the DOJ.  He later used his connection with Giuliani in the same way, especially when Rudy was US Attorney in NY.  Giuliani was never an anti-Mob crusader. He was the referee for the Mob Wars. 

Trump eventually was picked up as one of the front men for building up the Jersey shore Casino operation of the old Meyer Lansky/ Lucky Luciano syndicate that launched Resorts International, which was largely a Mafia money laundering enterprise that capitalized on high cash flow. They gave him some House money to play with and stroked his ego by letting him put his name on things. So yes, he is moronic in some ways but has a cunning and street smart sixth sense for survival, plus training from Roy Cohn on how to use blackmail leverage on everyone in his way.  

Who is behind him? It's a combination. He was picked up by Soviet intelligence in the 80's and groomed as an asset, and was kept on the hook with Kompromat, including after the USSR collapsed. He cultivated friendships with the NY Tabloids, people like David Pecker in an arrangement where he would be given leaked dirt on prominent people which he would feed to selected outlets. So, if the Russians, some Wall Street group, or Trump's Mob friends wanted someone destroyed, they used him. In return  he got lots of adulatory press building him up as a super rich sex machine.  

Additionally he was wired into a network of Fascist billionaires who are far wealthier than him, who are tied to some prominent R-Wing Think Tanks that were part of the Newt Gingrich orbit in the late 90's. They wanted a populist who would sell a vile racist and nativist/isolationist program, complete with draconian deregulation. The problem was that when Trump was built up as a political leader by these networks, it went to his head and he got out of control. His mission is to gratify himself by creating chaos, division, violence, to enrich his loyalists and punish his enemies. His programs come from the Heritage foundation, Hoover Institute, Cato institute, ALEC, and groups that have an anti-government States rights agenda. 

So he is motivated by greed, rage, narcissism, revenge, and self gratification. He gets up in the morning with his first thought being "who can I screw over today" and they feed him the policies that he can use to do that. So, what I'm saying is that he is a shared asset of people whose agenda is to remake the United States in their own image, and who need an Agent of chaos to tear down the role of the Federal government in our Constitutional system. (with the exception of the Military and Law enforcement).

Those who have steered him would consist of the billionaire fascist right wing, and Russian intelligence.  They don't call him on the phone to give him marching orders,  but they play him like a chess piece based on his psych profile. They know what he will do when put into a certain dynamic or environment. He thinks he is the decider-in-charge but he is just a disposable asset, whose only value to his controllers is his ability to use fear, blackmail, and bribery to create a Fascist mob, stampede his own party, and break the will of those in his way, like the Mafia. He is a cutout. 

He doesn't have a sinister plan. He wants to avoid jail. He has been running from the law for years, and wants the Presidency back through any means necessary to immunize himself from prosecution. And in pursuit of that, he created a Cult of loyalists who will literally die or go to jail for him. 

He is a Lab experiment who escaped the controls of the lab, and like a virus mutated, spread, and was weaponized.
