It Is Time To Walk Out Of Our Front Doors, And Engage The Enemy. He Is In Pennsylvania-
My wife Martha and I have a combined 75 years of political organizing experience. Between us, we've organized the petitioning drives in at least a dozen States, if memory serves, to put as many as 40 candidates on the ballot, for every office from President, Vice-President, Congress, US Senate and Governors. We've personally helped win three primaries with grassroots candidates, we know election law, ballot access procedures and validation, and First Amendment "right to organize/free speech in public places" laws. Martha had a precedent setting legal case when she faced trial and a 10 year jail term over a conflict with postal inspectors over the right to free speech on postal property, charges which were in the end downgraded to a misdemeanor. I was a Grand Jury target for months over my political fundraising, which went nowhere because it was politically motivated. Bush 41 and his crowd were not pleased with what we were doing, so we caught a lot of flack, but that's a story for a book. The point is that our political experience has come in the crucible of real world full time activity under adverse conditions over decades, not as a hobby.
We have also set up campaign offices or operations in Pittsburgh, Ohio, West Virginia, Arizona, and Kentucky. I cannot think of a single county in Pennsylvania in which we have not organized, either on the street, in shopping areas or door to door. We know the people and politics of the state better than most. We have recruited, educated and activated college students, taught classes on history, politics and culture, and we know how to engage young people in a way that the DNC and White House unfortunately do not. And not least, I've raised close to 8 million dollars over the phone in grassroots contributions over a twenty-some year period, and Martha has recruited possibly 10,000 or more people to various political campaigns in her role as a street organizer over the years, mostly all of it in Pennsylvania.
Unfortunately we did all of this in conjunction with an outfit that was hijacked and went bad, so we left. That said, we do not dabble in politics, though we are emphatically not politicians. Fighting fascism was our life's work. We know what the f*ck we are talking about.
Josh Shapiro needs a juggernaut in Pennsylvania to hold the line nationally against a fascist takeover of the United States. That is what is at stake between now and November.
But, we are in Mexico, and us coming back there to help lead this personally is not feasible. You all have seen my profile page, Blog, and Twitter page. My following as of now is relatively small, as I was out of politics and didn't start writing until 2019. But lately we are reaching into high places.
Between Martha and I, if we were there, would constitute and organize an auxiliary grass roots operation to destroy GOP Gubernatorial nominee Doug Mastriano. Don't listen to pundits and polls saying he can't win. Mastriano is the ultimate fascist d*ck. He is Donald Trump's "fascist d*ck". And we intend to cut it off.
Personally, I can't fundraise for Josh Shapiro from Mexico, but I can tell you how to do it. We can't set up organizing centers in each Pennsylvania county, but we can advise people who want to do it from where we sit. If you want to get others active and educate them, that also is on our resume.
The question will come up at some point, "who is Democrat Josh Shapiro?" And my answer will be "who gives a f*ck"? I'm not campaigning for him anyway, I'm campaigning to cut off Donald Trump's fascist d*ck, Doug Mastriano, and we need to turn Shapiro's campaign into something historic, like the Battle of Gettysburg, the Battle of the Bulge, or the Selma campaign, a victorious turning point for democratic ideals in history. Mastriano's campaign is the Berlin Wall, and Josh Shapiro our sledgehammer and pickaxe. Tear it down!
Every issue you are concerned with can be addressed, if we hit this vulnerable flank. A Trump endorsed White Nationalist, a seditious insurrectionist, election denying conspirophile, vile religious bigot, sexist, homophobic, misogynistic, hater of most forms of life living outside the womb, an anti-diversity, Putin loving, QAnon supportive participant in January 6th has won the f*cking PA Gubernatorial primary. How stupid are our enemies?
They have given us the best possible ugly face of fascism to deploy against and destroy, to make a horrible example of and rub his defeat in Donald Trump's greasy obese orange face. Could we have a better target, a better opportunity to truly make ourselves felt and heard?
Who wants to do something on this? Who wants to work with us and draw from our political organizing experience? The time for walking out of your front doors to engage the enemy is here. We will fight like Ukrainians, and beat them with our minds and our ideas. Seriously, why would anyone want to pass up this chance to change the world?
Neither of us are hard to reach. And, despite being "Dinosaurs", I'll even download and install Zoom so we are able to give briefings on various things.
This fight in Pennsylvania is what we've been waiting for to give our lives greater meaning, at a great moment. Make a plan to get your butts over there. Don't wait around until 2024 "to see what happens". Are you in or out?
