Beto Did An Old Fashioned Tex-ass "Beatdown!"
The GOP "gun nuts" are squealing like stuck Pigs over O'Rourke's intervention. They didn't expect to be confronted and unmasked as the hypocritical, lying, cowardly sh*tfaced failures of human beings that they are.
You saw their psychotic reactions two weeks ago to peaceful pro-choice demos outside of their homes. They are cowards who have 911 on speed dial with their thumb poised over it because with all of their talk about "freedom," they are pathetic little baby fascist whiners who when confronted with their own lies, want to call their mommies and arrest everyone.
What this means is that the GOP fascists calls for violence from their own supporters will increase. For those out there who want to do interventions like Beto's against these cruds, take it from me, who along with my wife Martha have done a dozen of them. Be prepared for rough stuff and to take an arrest. Don't go alone, record everything, and have someone on standby to make bail for you, just in case.
Without writing anything that is a "spoiler" for my book, I might write a bit at some point about our interventions against Henry Kissinger, Richard Armitage, Paul Volker, Lane Kirkland and several others. Somewhere there are pictures of me wearing a Soviet Field Marshal's uniform at a Defense strategy conference of the Carnegie Endowment. (I was there to thank them for their good work "burying" the US)
Interventions give people inspiration and courage by speaking truth to power in their faces, if you do it sparingly, strategically, and unpredictably. You catch them flat-footed, and they reveal their incompetence and gutlessness. That's why I'm now officially, fully on board with Beto.
Beto did a "beat down." He kept his cool, delivered his message, then went out and talked to people outside. That is real organizing. Let THAT go viral.
