The World Congress of Families-- Religious "Pro-Life" Fakers Working For Putin
The Rosen Report has documented extensively the direct interface between Russian Intelligence and the so-called Conservative Christian Right-Wing, in particular those groups masquerading as "pro-life".
One of my Facebook friends recently asked me if I was aware of an international group called "World Congress of Families". After some digging, I now have a better picture. They should rebrand themselves as "Putinesca Without The Sauce". This group is so vile in their religious bigotry that they have been categorized as a "hate group" by the Southern Poverty Law Center. (SPLC)
It is a proverbial rat's nest of pseudo Christian hate groups which hides behind a phoney committment to the Nuclear Family to promote discrimination and hatred toward "non-traditional" Families of LGBTQ persons, in addition to boatloads of love for that great "family man and Christian", Vladimir Putin, who like his American understudy Donald Trump has been a serial adulterer and acted as a fascist dictator. They are for the Nuclear family alright, likely at the moment offering up prayers in support of Putin's military shelling of the Ukrainian Zaporizhzhya Nuclear plant, the largest in all of Europe, for purposes of "irradiating" Ukrainian Families. Not surprisingly, they are very close to Putin fanboy Victor Orbán, fascist dictator of Hungary.
As I have documented in multiple articles, Putin upon his return to the Russian Presidency after his "break" as Prime Minister, began a massive intelligence operation through outreach to American Right-Wing organizations, including NRA, CPAC, Franklin Graham's Fellowship, the GOP itself, and of course the Trump machine and later campaign organization. This outfit WCF was one of them.
It's leading figure Larry Jacobs was a frequent guest in Russia where he consolidated WCF's relationship with the Putin wing of the Russian Orthodox Church tied to the Rodina Party, a hard core group of Russian Nationalists. Jacobs brought in the WCF in support of Putin's campaigns to ban LGTBQ organizations, Families, and criticism of government policies. WCF supports Putin in his jailing and persecution of such leaders and activists. They have become literally a Russian Intelligence Fifth Column in the Trumpworld coalition of fascist theocrats who intend to impose a Putin-style dictatorship in the US.
This is one of the organizations which because of its personal working relationship with Vladimir Putin should be banned. This has nothing to do with religious freedom, any more than that of the Radio Ministry of the Anti-semitic Nazi supporting Catholic Priest Father Charles Coughlin which aired before and during World War II. He was banned, as he well should have been. No one complained of his religious freedom being violated during our war with Hitler.
A full investigation of their finances under current circumstances is certainly in order. I would suggest also a campaign to expose and crush the political candidates associated with this Russian connected cult, treating them as the foot soldiers of Putin's war on democracy here at home.
Christians should be especially militant in resisting this infiltration by Russian Intelligence into the religious life of Americans. This is no time for pacifism, passivity or tolerance. That will lead to the US adopting the "Putin Model" under GOP rule very soon, unless we take urgent political action.
