Saudi Kingdom, MBS Says "F**k You" To Biden, West-- Conducts Mass Execution of 81 In One Day
The Saudi Kingdom carried out an atrocity which was announced yesterday. They conducted a mass execution of 81 people at one time, for a variety of crimes including terrorism.
Some commentary, as in this Philadelphia Inquirer run AP wire story, states that this was timed with Russia's war in Ukraine, which is consuming the world's attention and diverting it from them. Well, they have it right on the timing but not for the reason they think.

President Biden after his January 2021 Inauguration set about calling world leaders to touch base and discuss the new administration's foreign policy priorities and how this would affect their relations going forward. When he called the Saudis, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS) the "bonesaw killer" of journalist Jamal Khashoggi tried to take the call. Biden refused to talk to him and insisted on speaking with his counterpart, MBS' father the king.
MBS has been in an enraged anti-US snit since, as he no longer has his fan-boy Trump or his vercochte useless son-in-law Kushner pulling on his robes to beg for Saudi arms purchases, or covering up their human rights abuses. And of course human rights and democracy, concepts foreign to the corrupt Saudi Royals, are the centerpiece of Biden's foreign policy.
Last week it was reported that Biden personally called the Saudis to discuss their increasing production to bring down the price of oil marginally. They would not even take the phone call, in what can only be described as a colossal and humongous F*You to Biden, the US, and Europe.
The mass execution yesterday is in my view nothing more than the Saudis doubling down on their F*You, as there is no other conceivable reason for the timing, scale and barbarity of it, in the context of the US confronting both Russia and MBS' former partners in Trumpworld to defend democracy and human rights.
This mass killing was a cold and calculated message sent and delivered. It's not only about MBS' fit of pique of course. The US has disengaged somewhat from aiding the Saudis war in Yemen, having pulled back from Trump's arms sales deals, and the Biden administration has attempted to reduce the West's fossil fuel dependency, standing in marked contrast to the "Emir of Mar-A-Lago," the world's most impotent potentate.
MBS' act of ostentatious mass murder was his "return call" to President Biden. Any other analysis of this is sterile and lacking in substance. But that is fine. Americans know how to say "F* You" too, and in many different languages, since we are after all a melting pot.
