A Black Day In World History

 



This was my brief comment on Professor HCR's page this morning in response to her excellent strategic Briefing on the current crisis. My orientation is and always has been "what should WE do" in response to these types of events"? 


Sitting here as a morose spectator is not my recommendation. Counterattack against the enemy which presents itself in front of you. Deploy to destroy their infrastructure, communication, logistics, and morale. ---------‐------------


["These are the Times Of "Big Lies", brought to us by the lying liars of Russia's leadership, their Evangelical and Corporate partners in the US GOP,  their propagandists in the Russian Intelligence "leaking services" (not a P tape kompromat reference) Fox News, Newsmax, and OANN, the alliance of Right-Wing dictators who have adopted his model, and of course, the lifelong criminal, terrorist controlling, white supremacist national security threat, "TFBLIC"  (The Former Big Liar-In-Chief) Donald Trump. It is indeed an "Axis of Liars" which just moved to crush the Ukranian people. 


But make no mistake, his actions are strategic folly, and ultimately his intended targets are not so much the Ukrainian government but US President Biden, the movement which elected him, the pro democracy governments of Western Europe, and the movement within Russia which has exposed Putin's reign of murder and corruption. He is not simply intending to unleash a bloodbath in Ukraine, but within his own country, and in the US through his vast operations to divide us. 


The proof of Putin's "Big Lie" about Ukraine is the deployment of Neo-Nazi fighters trained by his GRU front group RIM (Russian Imperial Movement)  in St. Petersburg into Ukraine since 2014, many of whom came from Western Europe and some from the Alt-Right in the US. Of course there are Nazis in Ukraine, Putin sent them!  (For references, DM me).


So, yes to US and European sanctions, let them be onerous. But if you really want to drop the hammer on Putin, investigate, indict, prosecute, and jail his protégé Donald Trump, his Family, inner circle, accomplices on January 6th, and his bought and paid for purveyors of Russian Intelligence disinformation such as Tucker Carlson, the "Tokyo Rose" or "Lord Haw Haw" of our day. Declare War on Putin's Fifth Column in the West, seize the assets of him and his financial partners in the US, Caribbean and UK. Hit Putin personally. Publish on our front pages of Allied Democratic media the Intelligence gathered by Alexey Navalny's anti-corruption organization and bring every conceivable case against him to the World Court for War Crimes and Crimes against International Law. And our Intelligence agencies should unleash an Army of hackers against Russian military and economic infrastructure being deployed in Ukraine. (I'm fairly sure that might already be underway) 


Finally, there is an element of desperation in Putin's move which I believe might be driven by his growing domestic opposition, and also his aging which is causing health problems. Take advantage of the thing he has been hiding, which is his growing weakness, and let him outflank himself in this strategic quagmire. He just invaded a fiercely nationalistic and modern country which has resisted "Russification" for hundreds of years, and this time has begun digging his own hole. When your adversary is beating themselves, don't try to stop them, help them along"]

Milton Friedman- The Man Who Revived Fascist Economics, and Called It "Freedom".

  You may have heard the name before, as he was featured in a PBS Series, titled "Free To Choose", also the title of his most famous and misnamed book. He was a prolific author, and widely publicized by Conservative News Media and Magazines, especially by the followers of William F. Buckley. In fact, Milton Friedman is the current top economic advisor to the so-called "movement conservatives", from Nixon to Reagan, to Newt Gingrich and Trumpworld,  and is still to this day the main architect of the GOP approach to dealing with the present economic crisis, though he has been keeping a low profile. A very low profile. In fact, six feet under. He is currently dead, and has been for 14 years, yet his horrific philosophy continues to stalk about, haunting us like the living dead animated by a Voodoo curse, burning live Chickens, chanting incantations, and propitiating the irrational forces of Britain's Adam Smith and his "Invisible Hand". How Do You Know If What You Are Reading Is True Or Useful? - A One Year Old Facebook Post

 How do we know whether what we are reading is true, or for that matter useful? There are many journalists in the US today who are not only excellent writers, but are just good people. They are well informed, have the best intentions and are highly professional.  I have to force myself to write, and it comes with great difficulty because I am blocked, and had little journalistic training. Without an editor I feel lost, and feel as though I want to rewrite everything or throw it out after I read it. Reading books and articles is my favorite hobby, and when I'm doing that I am in my happy place.  As of now I have 30 News and Magazine sites bookmarked and I read them everyday as a routine. I usually read anywhere from 2-10 articles in each, depending upon what newsworthy events are breaking that day. Plus I have a number of books on history that I have going at any one time. This is no big accomplishment or unique, it's just how I occupy my time and is my form of work these ...
