National Catholic Reporter Covers Pope Francis Salvo vs. Vax Disinformation Campaign---A Glimpse At A Much Larger Struggle Within The Church



 I'm posting this article from National Catholic Reporter (NCR) because hardly anyone else besides them will cover this story. 

Pope Francis launched a broadside against the actually anti-life fascist wing of the American "phoney Pro-Life" right wing Bishops and Cardinals who have been spreading vaccine disinformation. 

As I have reported, (not referenced in this article) the anti-Francis elements in the Church are not only feeding the anti-vaxx movement, but they are aligned with the Vatican Insurrection led by former Pope Benedict and renegades such as former Archbishop Carlo Vigano. Many of these types are aligned with Trumpism and QAnon in the United States. 

They are spreading lies about the vaccine because they are fueling a hate campaign against President Biden and Dr. Fauci, on behalf of Trump. These right wing Catholic networks said virtually nothing negative about the vaccine while Trump was President and taking personal credit for it. (Even though he preferred Bleach) 

The Pope by attacking "disinformation" is not just addressing lies about vaccines. He is going after the entire disinformation machine, from Fox News to the fascist Catholic EWTN network, and the anti-semites over at "Church Militant". 

The Pope is using his remaining energy and time in mopping up these networks in the Church. One can only hope that President Biden and Merrick Garland are studying what Francis is doing, which is using his full moral and traditional authority to fight evil.

 How do we know whether what we are reading is true, or for that matter useful? There are many journalists in the US today who are not only excellent writers, but are just good people. They are well informed, have the best intentions and are highly professional.  I have to force myself to write, and it comes with great difficulty because I am blocked, and had little journalistic training. Without an editor I feel lost, and feel as though I want to rewrite everything or throw it out after I read it. Reading books and articles is my favorite hobby, and when I'm doing that I am in my happy place.  As of now I have 30 News and Magazine sites bookmarked and I read them everyday as a routine.
