It's Not Semantics, Words Mean Everything----Trump Arizona Speech Is A Call To Race War
Yesterday, Trump gave what can only be described as a White Power speech in Arizona to an audience of QAnon and anti-vaccine lunatics, domestic terrorists, conspiracy psychos, and the usual collection of White Supremacist elected officials, election deniers and candidates around him. He is now claiming that White people are being denied the covid-19 vaccine and minorities being given preferential treatment, implying that whites are now being condemned to death by such policies. It is a new and more dangerous version of "Replacement Theory", also described by White Supremacists as "White Genocide".
Read this raving and psychotic speech. This is what he has always been. If you are shocked it means you have been in denial. He is letting out the full package of rage and race hatred in full blown language (now devoid of the previous attempts at innuendo and hyperbole) for several reasons. To encourage violent attacks and extreme threats against his enemies, and to unleash civil and racial conflict.
He is inciting every mob he steps in front of to conduct acts of terror, to violate Federal laws, commit vigilante justice, to burn books, to encourage their States to gradually secede from the US Federal government, to scapegoat and target (literally) minorities, immigrants, Progressives and Social Democrats, and to nullify the Constitution itself. He is purging his Party and demanding loyalty oaths. Every speech he gives is an escalated call for a second Coup attempt against the Biden Presidency which is more violent in its intent than the last.
He is doing what Hitler did in order to take and consolidate power. He is Nazifying the Churches and the GOP, and building his own private army of Stormtroopers.
He is doing this on far greater scale now because he is a coward, as are all fascists, and he is throwing desperation punches, surrounding himself with the hardest of his hard core loyalists who share his racial vision, which he learned at the feet of his Klan supporting Father.
He is like Hitler in his bunker, preparing for his heroic Wagnerian "Gotterdammerung", and to take the entire nation down with him. Except that instead of the Western Allies and Red Army closing in on him, it is the January 6th Committee, possibly the DOJ, the New York prosecutors, and the Georgia DA.
But the media and pundits won't say he is a Nazi. They'll say Right Wing, Ultra Conservative, Authoritarian, populist, anti-democratic, racist, sometimes Neo-fascist, and they'll even use the word "clown" to describe him. These are writers who delude themselves to believe that Trump is a mere showman playing to the crowd, as he did for years as a Casino owner and then as the star of "The Apprentice". That carefully constructed false persona has long ago been dispensed with.
For the most part, the supposed anti-Trump Liberal media and commentators that people rely upon continue their own pattern of lying, because they won't use the word "Nazi" and therefore lie by omission.
Why won't they use that word to describe someone who has said "Hitler did some good things," and who had a book with Hitler speeches on his nightable? Or who said the Nazis at Charlottesville were "fine people" in his deceitful attempt at "bothsidesism," equating torch burning Nazis with non-violent protesters. A person who launched an anti-semitic diatribe in his Jerusalem Post interview last month.
Because most people watching or reading these pundits are themselves afraid to use that word, because using it means having to do something about it that sits outside their comfort zone. They don't want to risk antagonizing friends, co-workers or family that should be confronted, because doing that and saying that scares them. In all seriousness, what more do we need in order to say what we know to be true? Oh, I know. Folks are still calmly trying to use gentle persuasion and rational argumentation to "convince" others that Trump is bad, and Fox News lies. Good luck with that waste of Oxygen.
Why not take the occasion of the great Martin Luther King's birthday/holiday to decide we will stop lying to ourselves, to just go ahead and call a Nazi a Nazi?
