Latin Mass "Traditionalists" Threatened Pope Francis With Assassination After His Repudiation Of Benedict's And Charismatics "Dark Ages" Catholicism.
Introduction
On July 21, 2021, Pope Francis reversed the Papal edict of former Pope Benedict XVI, and restricted the use of the Latin Mass by so-called Traditionalist Catholics. There are much larger issues being addressed and fought out by Francis in taking this stand. Many Vatican observers see this as a "shot across the bow" intended as a warning to schismatics in the Church who threaten to rend it apart in order to short circuit Francis' attempts to modernize the Papacy. Francis' intent is to bring the Church on board with the fight for social justice and stewardship of our natural world. These QAnon adepts and allies are not actual Catholics, they are an Insurrection against those who wish to bring the Church into the modern world, an Insurrection steered in part by ex-Pope Benedict XVI. The Fascist Roots of Benedict's Authoritarian Papacy
Benedict has been exposed in the recent year plotting a Vatican Coup against Francis, agitating behind the scenes to force the Pope to resign for "health reasons" so he could install an extreme traditionalist, ie: pro Fascist Pope of his choosing. as he attempted with Cardinal Robert Sarah. (Forced to leave his Vatican post by Francis)
Ratzinger as a young man in Germany during the War joined the Hitler Youth, as was mandatory at the time. He has admitted that at first he enjoyed it because of its emphasis on athletics. He claimed that he left when he realized the Nazis were anti-Christian as well as anti-semitic! Apparently anti-semitism didn't bother him that much.
He later served in the German Army. Much has been made about his repentance and lifetime of "making amends" for his membership and service to the Reich. However it is useful to contrast Benedict with Pastor Dietrich Bonhoffer, who returned to Germany from his safe place in Harlem NY to resist, and gave his life to oppose Nazism, or Catholics who fought the Nazis euthanasia program and assisted escaping Jews. Nor did he choose the path of his mentor and friend, Father Karol Wojtiya, the later Pope John Paul II who played a role in the Polish underground during the Nazi occupation. And of course there was the other example, the Franciscans of Italy who ran the Asizzi Underground helping Jews escape the Holocaust. Young Ratzinger chose instead to serve in a German anti-aircraft unit, when he had the choice of deserting. He would not risk his life to resist, despite his claim that his family was anti-Nazi. The Ratzingers lived in Traustein Bavaria, a Catholic town renowned for aiding escaping Jews and hiding refugees. Surviving neighbors later said that the Ratzingers had no involvement at all in Jewish rescue efforts.
Years later as Cardinal Ratzinger, he displayed a bit more of his true ambiguity toward fascism by joining the campaign for Sainthood of Pope Pius XII, who became infamous as the co-signer on the Vatican Concordat with Nazi Germany which legitimized Hitler's dictatorship in the eyes of the Church, turning a blind eye toward the impending Holocaust. This was the same Pius XII who is now revealed to have been the willing partner of Mussolini's fascist regime, according to recently released Vatican archives and a book on the subject.

Notwithstanding his statements on his past, the fact that Benedict/Ratzinger has become the rallying point for opposition to Francis and for neo-fascists, schismatics and anti-semites in the Church such as the "Church Militant" group and Catholic Charismatic networks such as the St. Plus X Society speaks volumes. The viruently anti-Francis and pro Benedict mega-media Empire EWTN has provided network time to broadcasting two Neo-Nazi documentaries by an organization called "Catholic Apologetics International" (CAI) while claiming to be combatting anti-semitism otherwise. Pope Francis himself has condemned EWTN for "wanting him dead" during his recovery from surgery, and accused them of doing "the Devil's work", an unprecedented criticism of a Catholic media powerhouse by a modern Pope. The Insurrection of The US Bishops Against Francis
So you have the towering hypocrisy of American extremists in the Bishop's conference tied to Benedict such as Archbishop José Gomez and Bishop Raymond Burke, equating Joe Biden with the Nazis over abortion, pandemic restrictions, vaccines, and prosecutions of January 6th terrorists. This from leaders of a church many of whose leaders historically allied with fascist governments, assisted War criminals in escaping Europe, and covered up for those wealthy old Catholic oligarchs who participated in war crimes or funding Hitler's rise to power. This is not even to mention the decades long criminal conspiracy to cover up for pedophile Priests.
And these are the hypocrites who want to deny Joe Biden Communion, and remove Pope Francis from the Seat of St. Peter!
Extremist evangelicals, right wing talk hosts, and GOP Congressmen have likewise fired up a vast array of threatening attacks on President Biden to be sure. This type of inflammatory rhetoric creates the environment for some fanatic or group of people to attempt to bring harm to both the President and the Pope.
The Current Serious Threat To Pope Francis and President Biden-- The Historical Precedents
Most people are aware that Pope John Paul II was shot and almost killed in St. Peter's Square in 1981 by a Turkish terrorist, Mehmet Ali Agca. People are less aware that he was stabbed and wounded at the Fatima Shrine in Portugal the following year by a Priest named Fr. Juan Fernandez y Krohn, who was a charismatic traditionalist that belonged to a right wing cult called "Tradition, Family, Property," very widespread in Latin America. Attacks on Pope Francis today delivered with such similar vitriol should be taken very seriously by counter terrorism specialists, as should likewise attacks by these same circles against President Biden.
Francis in reversing Benedict on the use of Latin Mass has struck a major blow against the forces of reaction in the Church which overlap with the later 20th Century movement against Vatican II, also documented here by SPLC.

The Real Significance of Francis' Reversal of Benedict
It is the equivalent of a US Presidential Executive Order declaring it illegal to display the Confederate Flag. It strikes deeply into the symbolism of the "old believers" in the Church and their many Inquisitions, along with the continued influence of those oligarchical families who have benefited from them. The legacy of these traditionalists represents to this day the religious warfare doctrines of the Crusades, and the Church's 20th Century "Realpolitik" relations with the regimes of Mussolini, Franco, Hitler, Pinochet, and others. Francis in particular was despised by these networks before being elected Pope, mainly because of his role in Liberation Theology in his native Argentina exposing the role of the Church in backing the Coup by their murderous military junta.
Everything rotten and corrupt in the Church is for the moment coalesced around ex-Pope Benedict, in the same way that the most degenerate tendencies in modern American history have gathered around the agnostic mass murdering Mammon worshipping narcissist, Donald Trump.
In effect, Francis has just pronounced a large and influential faction of the Church to be acting as heretics and schismatics through his reversal of Benedict on the Latin Mass. The Vatican is having it's own civil war, which spills over into the majority Catholic countries of South and Central America, Europe, globally in fact. Those opponents of Francis, through their violent reactions to his reversal of Benedict have announced themselves to be a strategic and terrorist threat to both the Pope and President Biden.
If Security experts are not looking at these charismatic cults as such a threat, then we are headed for yet another catastrophic "Intelligence failure", sooner rather than later.
When an issue such as this erupts into the public view, it is safe to conclude that this kind of factional warfare which has broken containment is just the tip of the Iceberg, and we will see an escalation of the conflict. This is not arcana, it is "where the monkey sleeps".
