Martha Rosen's Blog-- Some Unconventional Ideas For A Time Of Crisis
I am Martha Rosen, and I wanted to start a Blog page to provoke a dialogue amongst the intellectually curious, those who are increasingly aware that new ideas are needed to address the various crises of the day.
In my career, I was a full time political organizer for more than forty years, and educated and recruited many people, and fundraised through both "street organizing" and on the phones. I had the privilege of working with significant world leaders, Civil Rights leaders, and US political leaders. It was through this work that I met my husband Lance 38 years ago.
In the course of my political activism, I've done extensive research in the fields of Ecology, Biology, Astrophysics, Life Sciences, Classical Culture, the Arts, and History. My approach has been mostly holistic, in that I do not focus on one thing, or two as though they were separate. I am preoccupied with the larger picture, and showing how these diverse areas of knowledge are related and dynamic in nature.
My purpose is to start discussions which will contribute to finding real solutions and defining novel directions of thinking which address both the present crisis, as well as our needs for the future. All of my written contributions will be posted on this page and will adhere to a chronological order for easy reference.
I am 71 years old and we are retired in my home country of Mexico.
