A Personal Message To Congressman Paul Gosar And The GOP Leadership Regarding Gosar's Threatening Cartoons Against AOC and The President

Insurrectionist Nazi Congressman Paul Gosar published an Anime in which a character with his face superimposed killed characters with the faces of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and chased President Joe Biden with a sword. (Not surprisingly, it occurs near or on the 83rd Anniversary of "Kristallnacht" on November 9th, the major escalation of the mass destruction of Jewish property, lives, and any pretense of the rule of law in Germany. Also it coincides with the November 6-9 1923 "Munich Putsch" in which Hitler made his first failed attempt to overthrow the Social Democratic government of the Weimar Republic. Gosar's Aide then put out a statement saying, "hey, it's just a cartoon, relax", in response to the backlash. 

"Just a Cartoon," he said.

Not that Gosar or his aide would care, or even have the intelligence to understand the following points made here, but it is useful for us to remember that the Nazi Party in Germany from its inception had first one and then a second major Newspaper which functioned as their propaganda arms, and for us to also recollect what their actual mission and purpose was. 

The first was the "Völkesche Beobachter", the semi-official Nazi Party "in house" organ, published by NSDAP founding member Alfred Rosenberg. The second was called "Der Stürmer", published by Hitler friend and later Gauleiter of Franconia Julius Streicher. Both Newspapers focused almost exclusively on anti-semitic propaganda, and presented current affairs as the day to day events in Germany's "struggle" against World Jewry, to use Hitler's words. 

The centerpiece of their propaganda in both cases were the anti-semitic cartoons. 

These cartoons depicted Jews as subhuman and vermin, whose very existence harmed the public health of the Aryan race by spreading "Jewish diseases" like Syphillis, which Hitler said in Mein Kampf was spread by Jewish prostitutes and immigrants bringing it into Germany. (And of course Gosar and his "Kameradin" in the GOP Nazi/QAnon Caucus are making the same accusation against Mexicans bringing covid into the US because of Biden's supposedly loose border policy).  Some of these cartoons depicted Nazi Party members of the SA in uniform fumigating trees and bushes that had Jewish caricatures as faces to encourage violence and extermination of Jewish "vermin", as a public health measure. Jews were depicted not only as subhuman vermin, but as satanic, with Devil's horns, and with obscene expressions belying their intent to defile the racial purity of Aryan womanhood through rape. The cartoons in Der Stürmer represented Jews as filthy, with gigantic noses, leering and rapacious expressions, and there was extreme sexual degradation depicted in these cartoons that were considered pornographic even by most Germans. African Americans have experienced and remember well throughout American history where these kinds of cartoon caricatures led, meaning deep into the woods at night, at the end of a rope.

Another major theme of these cartoons was the infamous "Blood Libel," the Nazi conspiracy theory brought back to life by Gosar's QAnon allies today, that Jews survived the diseases which they brought and spread by murdering Christian babies and drinking their blood. 

The only purpose of these cartoons was to incite the most lumpenized, violent, enraged and uneducated Germans to form gangs to terrorize, assault, and murder Jews, and to destroy their businesses. Anti-Semitic murder-porn was the most popular reading for the gangs of mentally damaged Stormtroopers who stalked the Jews of Germany (or "Socialists") looking for an opportunity to make their reputation as top Jew baiters and get noticed by the Party's higher ups. Julius Streicher himself was considered the most anti-semitic of all of Hitler's inner circle, and was even so radical that some of the other leaders like Goering avoided him because he was an "embarrassment". 

It should also be mentioned, and not as a mere footnote, that both Rosenberg and Streicher never personally killed one Jew.  They both were involved in the drafting and promotion of the Nuremberg Laws on race, but as individuals never committed an act of physical violence against Jews personally. Streicher as Gauleiter gave orders to others to commit crimes and destroy Synagogues, and deport Jews from Nuremberg where he was based.  They both published propaganda, printed articles, and widely circulated cartoons in the service of Adolf Hitler's twisted "Neue Weltordnung" to make Europe "Jew free". 

Paul Gosar and his aide, who continue to repeat their defense that "it's only a cartoon", should be reminded that both Alfred Rosenberg and Julius Streicher, Hitler's favorite publishers, were captured at war's end, put on trial at Nuremberg, convicted before the eyes of the world, and hanged by the neck until they were dead. 

They were executed for writing propaganda and publishing cartoons which incited and facilitated crimes against humanity. And if there is anything remaining of "the rule of law in the US, should anything untoward happen which brings harm to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or the President at the hands of any person provably and unduly influenced by Gosar's "green light," Congressman Paul Gosar should be fully aware of the ugliest episode in the history of all cartoons, and be prepared to meet the full legal or other consequences of his incitement.
