Part II: How To Survive The Coming Political Apocalypse and Defeat The Oligarchy-- A Slightly Unhinged But Theraputically Necessary Rant

(Author's note, this is a slightly edited archive article which was part two of a five part series that never got past part two, due to technical problems related to my being a little blocked. However, today on the Occasion of St. Patrick's day, and owing to the fact there is no bar here in Oaxaca that will be selling green Beer, I thought I'd run this one up the flagpole and see who gives me the finger. Enjoy.

"Not The Patriarchy"
The Mass Murderess Of Ireland And India, Queen Victoria

I hope everyone who has begun this Part II appreciates what is involved in writing it, since I have virtually no memory of even writing Part I, due to my then likely inebriated state. However, in the interest of at least a lame effort at coherence, I'll suggest that it might be worthwhile to slog through my mostly irreverent Part I, the link to which is here:

https://therosenreport.blogspot.com/2021/09/how-survive-coming-political-apocalypse.html

Where were we? Oh yes, we were talking about the Oligarchy. Those guys. Everyone has a theory about who and what they are. The younger folks who have downloaded every dating app in the history of creation believe firmly that their parents are the Oligarchy, and that the imposition of curfews are the marker for an incipient fascist police state. My old friend who works at the Airport and belongs to the Machinists Union thinks that feminists promoting a return to Matriachy are leading a global plot to exterminate most men, use them as sperm donors, and impose the old "Earth Mother" religions on the world in a dictatorship run by Alexandria Ocasio Cortes and Oprah Winfrey. Needless to say, my friend has some Mommy issues or has not yet returned from his last Acid trip. Clearly though, he like many others is reacting to something which offends his very tiny sense of identity. We will come at this from a different angle in a minute.

Basically, most people who are educated have constructed some sort of "Theory About Everything" for themselves with which to organize their thoughts, assemble their personal "circles of trust," and attempt to make sense of an increasingly confusing state of existence. Unfortunately, most people who live in this particular universe have started their process from a victimized identity standpoint. Meaning, they believe there is an Oligarchy, but one which consists of others who they believe have victimized them personally.

So, pick a category. Race. Gender. Religion. Let's look at one example and dissect it. There are many women who for justifiable reasons believe that the Oligarchy is mostly a Patriarchy, and everything associated with it. However, this conveniently ignores the historical reality that the most evil and destructive Oligarch of the 19th Century was the sovereign ruler of the British Empire imperial system, Queen Victoria. "Oh really?" I can hear you asking in shock and mortification. "That sweet little woman, so prim, so...short, a global mass murdering Oligarch? No, please don't...".

Sorry. Victoria was the Devil. She presided over a genocidal colonial empire system which armed and supplied the US Slavery based Southern Confederacy, made England rich off of the mass murderous system of African slave labor, raw materials extraction, and large-scale looting of their labor force. Oh, and there is the matter of the deliberate mass starvation of the Irish during the so-called Potato Famine, during which the empire confiscated Ireland's food stores and starved three million, under the slogan defending their system of "Free Trade".

And please, let's not forget the story of India, whose colonial subjects were worked to death in Mines and other slave labor, starved through equally predictable and deliberate famine which killed 15 million people in little more than one year, 1876. (This was the second great famine, the first occuring in context of American colonists planning their break with the Crown, a fact duly noted by our leading Revolutionary figures) Deliberate you say? What would you call a policy of forced crop replacement in which Indian farmers were ordered to grow Opium for sale in China, and cotton to be manufactured in English mills instead of food? And by the way, most of that Opium delivered by British ships, chartered by the Queen, flying the Union Jack...well let's just say China was not happy or accepting of that volume of destruction of their population, and at a certain point closed their ports to it. Queen Victoria responded personally and declared war on China to force them to open their ports to British Opium. To this day, the Chinese Government's decision to burn British Opium clippers on arrival is commemorated and held up as the most important act of resistance to the "white devils," and is to this day why they insist on running the British Opium money hub known as Hong Kong their way.

So, what's the spin we are going to get on this one? Victoria was only a figurehead with bad male advisors who did all of these bad things in her name? Nuh uh. Sorry. The British Empire system was an Oligarchical system, of which she was the sovereign ruler. She was the decider. And guess what. The Patriarchy theory of Oligarchism doesn't really hold that much water in light of the sordid history of English and other Imperial Queens who have chopped off the many heads of their enemies, rivals and lovers. And it's not "ok" because men did it too, and they are not being unfairly criticized for doing what they had to to survive in a man's world. You see, "it's the system, stupid".

I can already hear the protests that the British 19th Century Empire has nothing to do with the sexist and discriminatory policies of today, and does nothing to invalidate the idea that we have an evil legacy of Patriarchy which ran the world then and now. And that, my friends is the trap. That is how they play you.

Oligarchism as a system exists through a strategy of keeping the population divided against itself, and therefore powerless and without unity of purpose.

If they can sell different groups of victimized people a contrived or convenient enemy image, (in German, Feinbild) designed to misdirect people toward dead end or limited single issues, and various synthetic ideologies, they have you profiled and under control.

Read Orwell's "1984," again. This is how they do it. Social and psychological profiling of a victimized  population to lead them into blind alleys of ineffective resistance, thereby insulating themselves, thus turning us into chess pieces in a great game in which we are fighting each other.

They use race, gender, religion, tribal history, economic class, "wedge issues," ethnic conflict, and many legitimate issues of concern, along with every other divisive tactic imaginable to impose upon us the mentality of a victim, and that is how they control us.

Who are they? Let's start with the "principalities and powers" of those who benefit by dividing us against ourselves. What are the institutions of oligarchism, and what are the systems which function as the conveyances for their inherited wealth and power?

For purposes of methodology, we will look again at the British Empire system, this time in both the 19th and the 20th Century. We will look at how they coopted the movement for decolonization and independence after World War II. Stay tuned, that is if you really want to know what the Oligarchy is. We need to know what we are fighting.

Truthfully, if you don't fight the Oligarchy and dismantle their systems, you won't be helping to empower anyone. Not "First Nations" people, not abused women, oppressed gender or racial minorities, the poor, climate activists, or anyone in a durable or systematic way. Our effort would be limited to damage control and cleanup. But, who wants to go there, and risk making those kind of enemies? Who wants that kind of trouble?  "After all, I'm just one person" you often hear.  Well, I'm sorry, but to not suffer from Multiple Personality Disorder will not get us a note from our mothers excusing us from the Revolution today. Individual people matter. You don't need to be more than one person to have an impact.

So, as we head careening into Part III, (Whatever that will be about, since I'm winging it here) I'll give you a little hint on where we are headed next. Have you heard of the Rhodes Scholarship?  Mmmhmmm.
