How To Survive The Coming Political Apocalypse and Defeat The Oligarchy-- A Slightly Unhinged But Theraputically Necessary Rant

Part I, A kind of an Introduction 

There are events unfolding in real time which are both stressful and baffling, (which I have been told can cause dry skin) in that a majority of thinking Americans (which by definition excludes MAGA enthusiasts) are having difficulty processing how and why the Trump fascist party and its mob of suburbanite wh*te tr*sh continues to openly organize for sedition, insurrection, secession and nullification, and do so without being subject to federal prosecution.  

At this point, I feel it is unnecessary and repetitive for me to bother making a case that this is indeed what we are confronting. If you feel there's something else underway, you might find stronger interest in my Facebook posts about making sourdough pancakes and grilling Tandoori Chicken.  

What I'm about to present here is really nothing but a "hit piece," if I'm being honest. Writers do this all the time, but no one in my memory was ever unfiltered enough to simply blurt that out, which would have displayed a total disregard for editors or journalistic convention. That is the nice thing about having a blog. The only standard you need to meet is your own. (Within the limits of community standards and while vetting out misinformation, of course) But, we are just getting started, bear with me.  

For myself, it is both a political and personal journey, insofar as I have been fighting fascism since I was 14 years old, and I intend to celebrate my 50th Antifa "Jubilee" by doing a lot more of the same fucking thing, thank you. (I'm soon to be 64 on November 21. I'll DM you with my address if you want to send me expensive gifts)  

I admit to enjoying "hitting" fascist ideologues and their enablers with my keyboard, which is my form of therapy and "self-care". Consider it a mental "colon cleanse" on my part, without lowering my neighborhood water pressure. It certainly is safer than the 30 years of street organizing which landed me in local jails and ERs in many states.  

And yes, as a self-identified Democratic Liberal, I firmly believe in the liberal use of profanity and heavy handed invective to make my thought process transparent. After all, this is not about you, it is about me venting, because I just feel the need to sometimes. And the last thing I would want to convey to my readers is the misconception that I am even remotely interested in credibility, or establishing a reputation as an informed expert. My intent was always to make "them" want to put me in jail for rattling their cages, and to disrespect most of what is termed popular opinion.  "Respectability" was never the pathway to becoming a prisoner of conscience, as have many of the leading civil and human rights revolutionaries in our history 

That brings us to the question of "who are the "them" that I so thoroughly enjoy antagonizing? And on that note, I'll stop talking about myself. For a bit.  

Is There An Actual Oligarchy? If So, What and Who Is It? 

I'll start by simply asserting what I know. There is an Oligarchy which runs mostly everything, and it is not a paranoid conspiracy theory to say so. The problem is that the moment you even raise the subject, you are accused of anti-semitism. So, I might as well dispense with this line of mishagosh right off the bat. "Well," exclaims the academic toe-sucking media-addicted amateur pundit...."are you saying that there is a 'Jewish Conspiracy' to take over the world, huh? Well?"  Now, what can a lifelong Jewish guy who still has my Bar Mitzvah Yarmulke (which i can't wear since i have no hair up there to pin it to, and I'm out of duct tape) say to that? How about, "I don't know, but if there is one, my wife is probably running it. And if you've met her, you know why I'm saying, she has a chance".  

No, it's not a "Jewish Conspiracy," though anyone who has studied Jewish history knows that there are a few prominent Jewish families who have hired themselves out or allied with Oligarchs and their systems, largely because centuries of discrimination and persecution tended to limit their career paths. My family, which escaped the 19th Century Russian Pogroms to the US either became tailors on one side, or mobsters on the other. Guess which side became most prominent. (For trivia buffs, the head of the Philadelphia Italian Mafia Angelo Bruno paid for my parents Jewish wedding, a somewhat ironic twist on the term "interfaith cooperation.") 

Small handfuls of Jews historically became Bankers and usurious money lenders for the Venetian "Fondi" or other European nobility, (as was unfairly depicted by Shakespeare's "Shylock") and others engaged in the US Southern slave trade, because they did what they thought they needed to in order to survive. The overwhelming majority of Jews were anti-slavery of course, the lies of Louis Farrakhan and others notwithstanding. Some just peddled goods because they were discriminated against and could do nothing else to make a living. A visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Jewish history is educational in presenting this conflicted history in the context of many millennia of successful and miraculous Jewish survival. I know that we are not supposed to talk about this, lest real anti-semites distort and misuse it to support their racist profiling and Christian "Blood Libel" historical mythology.  

In the name of fairness and equal time, I'll mention that many American immigrant groups have gone this route as well, Italian and Russian mafias, Irish gangs, Chinese Tong, Japanese Yakuza, etc, and Jews have been no different. Indeed, there are hosts of New England old families with blood as blue as Trump's face is orange, who purchased their spots in the "hoi poloi" Social Register (who in the actual fuck came up with that expression, anyone know?) with fortunes made in slave trading and the Chinese Opium trade, then later Prohibition. Draw up a list of Ivy League Schools and their Frat Boy secret societies, like Porcellian and Skull and Bones, then run their history. That's a lot of Opium and bootleg booze money there, bud.  

But, they alone are not the Oligarchy. The actual Oligarchy is much older, and have expanded their membership list. Some of them today trace their ancestry back to families in the Roman Senate. Others believe they are descendants of a Royal line fathered by Jesus and Mary Magdalene, who reportedly eloped to Southern France after the rather unpleasant Crucifiction business to raise a family and fill up their "Holy Grail" with Royal Blood. Las Vegas hadn't been built yet, so presumably they opted for vacay in southern France, a short Donkey ride from the Riviera. Reports are that they had trouble while house hunting because the French were anti-immigrant, and claimed Jesus would steal the jobs of French Carpenters.  

Then there were British Royals who believe to this day that they are the descendents of "The Lost Tribe of Israel". It's never been fully explained how these Jews got lost, and wound up in fucking England. Of course it's not surprising, since there was no GPS, Triple A, or even road signs, and their maps were 80 pound stone tablets which they probably got tired of schlepping around and threw away.  I can just hear Mrs. Cohn, the backseat wagon-driver unloading on poor Aaron, "you schmuck, I told you to make a left at Transylvania! Pull over and ask directions!"  Personally, I don't believe in this theory. The Royal Family never goes to the beach. You never see them eating Hummus. And they don't argue in public. Don't try to tell me they are the real Jews.  

So, now that we have scientifically proven what the Oligarchy is not, what is it? Well, today it is no longer old and powerful families exclusively, or limited to Royalty. It is mostly centered in Corporations. And that, my friends, if you are still awake and not surfing the flat line is my segue to Part 2.
