The Most Dangerous Implications of The Afghan Government Collapse Which Most Media Will Not Cover.

The following is my response and commentary on Heather Cox Richardson's factually concise but strategically myopic and misleading summation on the history and significance of the Afghan Government's collapse. Her letter today is typical, as it utterly skirts the most pressing and perilous strategic issue, which is the implications for the next phase of the insurrection.

I give HCR the benefit of the doubt, as she is a human being who like most of us is scared to think of where this leads. So, on that note...

["Most people here are missing the forest for the trees. I apologize if that sounds haughty,, but I've been around the block a few times. There is no way to avoid the fact that the collapse of the Afghan government is a strategic defeat and humiliation for the US. All of the historical timelines, fingerpointing and poll results in the world doesn't change that.

By the admission of Secretary Blinken and others, the administration made a gross strategic miscalculation in exiting now, in this way. I'm going to raise the issue here which is your proverbial Elephant in the room which is the most fraught with immediate peril for Americans.

The fascist leadership of the GOP and its Trumpian Coup plotters are going to use this failure in the same way they have used the "Big Lie" about the election. The Trump apparatus will channel Adolf Hitler's strategy for mass recruitment of the broken and demoralized German Army Veterans after WWI into armed paramilitaries which evolved into the SA and SS, using the propaganda weapon of "The Stab in the Back". The German right wing "Freikorps"  and the Nazis hard core terrorists were deployed into 10 years of street fighting, terrorism, assassinations and "election interference" to destroy German democracy and the Weimar Republic, concluding with Hitler's 1933 Coup with the Reichstag Fire.

What most certainly will happen now is an escalating campaign to use and manipulate the returned Afghan and Iraq war Veterans, many of whom are Trumpsters, recruited to white supremacist and Confederate groups, enraged at losing their friends, families, job opportunities, limbs, all for nothing now in their eyes. Fox News and other Right Wing media echo chambers will be pounding the drum on "Joe Biden's treasonous stab in the back" in order to incite and organize phase two of Trump's violent insurrection, building to a crescendo on the convergence of the 9-11 Anniversary, and the exploding opposition to mask mandates in response to the Delta variant. 

Yesterday DHS specifically warned of this conjunction and the heightened terror threat domestically, something I've been writing about for weeks. The most dangerous aspect of the collapse of the Afghan government is what it means for the American population, and our Democratic system, right here, right now. There is a small army of Tim McVeighs out there, Veterans and others sick with pent up anger and rage, easy prey for the fascist Trumpians to be used as cannon fodder and triggered to start a civil war on US soil. Any strategic analyst or commentator who is not making this the front and center issue in their coverage is making a serious blunder out of fear and momentary paralysis. What I can guarantee is that the lights are on 24/7 at DOJ and DHS as they are preparing for this new reality. Americans need to stop playing the spin game and face this burgeoning crisis now."]

Milton Friedman- The Man Who Revived Fascist Economics, and Called It "Freedom".

  You may have heard the name before, as he was featured in a PBS Series, titled "Free To Choose", also the title of his most famous and misnamed book. He was a prolific author, and widely publicized by Conservative News Media and Magazines, especially by the followers of William F. Buckley. In fact, Milton Friedman is the current top economic advisor to the so-called "movement conservatives", from Nixon to Reagan, to Newt Gingrich and Trumpworld,  and is still to this day the main architect of the GOP approach to dealing with the present economic crisis, though he has been keeping a low profile. How Do You Know If What You Are Reading Is True Or Useful? - A One Year Old Facebook Post

 How do we know whether what we are reading is true, or for that matter useful? There are many journalists in the US today who are not only excellent writers, but are just good people. They are well informed, have the best intentions and are highly professional.  I have to force myself to write, and it comes with great difficulty because I am blocked, and had little journalistic training. Without an editor I feel lost, and feel as though I want to rewrite everything or throw it out after I read it. Reading books and articles is my favorite hobby, and when I'm doing that I am in my happy place.  As of now I have 30 News and Magazine sites bookmarked and I read them everyday as a routine. I usually read anywhere from 2-10 articles in each, depending upon what newsworthy events are breaking that day. Plus I have a number of books on history that I have going at any one time.
