1. In a fit of craven political opportunism and scientifically fake gobbledygook, Texas Republicans and the Fox News talking headless pundits agree that Green Energy is the cause of the power outages in Texas. Hello! Green energy amounts to 10% of Texas power generation, and collapsed Windmills did not knock out the power grid. Deregulation in Texas allowed power companies to avoid Winterizing their equipment. Frozen machinery and equipment caused the crisis. In El Paso, where they are served by a different power grid which is regulated and did winterize is doing just fine. The Right Wing anti-science lying liars are just covering their butts.
2. Joe Biden struck a chord with all of us yesterday, when he said, " I'm tired of talking about Trump". Whatever disagreements people have with him, try not to forget that he is a Mensch.
3. Mike Lindell was sued yesterday by Dominion voting systems. Would you refer to this as the "My Pillowcase"?
4. Apparently Trump is demanding a 9-11 style Commission to investigate the role of Antifa in demolishing his Boardwalk Hotel in Atlantic City. Matt Gaetz has launched a hunger strike in support in front of Million Dollar Pier.
5. "The Atlantic" runs an article comparing Trump to other "populist" leaders, including Berlusconi of Italy, Juan Peron of Argentina, and Fujimori of Peru. This is misleading and methodoligically wrong. Trump rose to power in the United States, which has no history of Dictatorship, and a 150 year old legacy of Insurrection. The level of evil and scheming malevolence needed to nearly destroy America's Democracy is a false equivalence to these other cases. There is no comparison between the US and these other countries, and the term "Populist" to describe Trump is like referring to Genghis Khan as an Explorer and Horse trainer.
6. They say you shouldn't speak ill of the dead. In the case of Prince Phillip of England, who was hospitalized today, I won't wait until he dies to do so. He is literally the most racist and malignant individual living who still carries the legacy of Britain's fascist and pro Hitler Monarchy today. No individual alive has been so open about promoting policies of racist mass murder and genocide as he. So, there, his Obituary from me.
7. Speaking of which, it's in the News that in an attempt to rescue the historic Castle of Anne Boleyn in England from a Moth infestation, that an Army of "Parasitical Wasps" was brought in to get rid of them. (true story) My first thought was that the Royal Family must really be hard up for cash if they have to go out looking for work in Pest Control.

Milton Friedman- The Man Who Revived Fascist Economics, and Called It "Freedom".

  You may have heard the name before, as he was featured in a PBS Series, titled "Free To Choose", also the title of his most famous and misnamed book. He was a prolific author, and widely publicized by Conservative News Media and Magazines, especially by the followers of William F. Buckley. In fact, Milton Friedman is the current top economic advisor to the so-called "movement conservatives", from Nixon to Reagan, to Newt Gingrich and Trumpworld,  and is still to this day the main architect of the GOP approach to dealing with the present economic crisis, though he has been keeping a low profile. A very low profile. In fact, six feet under. How Do You Know If What You Are Reading Is True Or Useful? - A One Year Old Facebook Post

 How do we know whether what we are reading is true, or for that matter useful? There are many journalists in the US today who are not only excellent writers, but are just good people. They are well informed, have the best intentions and are highly professional.  I have to force myself to write, and it comes with great difficulty because I am blocked, and had little journalistic training. Without an editor I feel lost, and feel as though I want to rewrite everything or throw it out after I read it. Reading books and articles is my favorite hobby, and when I'm doing that I am in my happy place.  As of now I have 30 News and Magazine sites bookmarked and I read them everyday as a routine. I usually read anywhere from 2-10 articles in each, depending upon what newsworthy events are breaking that day. Plus I have a number of books on history that I have going at any one time. This is no big accomplishment or unique, it's just how I occupy my time and is my form of work these ...
