My Take on Atlantic Article, on "How Facebook is Working for Trump" September 2, 2020

This "Atlantic" article is illustrative in a number of ways. Read through it, and consider this. The Trump campaign has run tens of millions of paid ads on Facebook, as compared to tens of thousands by his Democratic opponents in 2016 and 2020. They are boring, short, and dumb, and virtually all the same, with minor differences among them. They include a flattering picture of Trump, gesturing in a certain way, with a short slogan, dumbed down for simple messaging. What the article does not say, I will say here.

The sheer volume and repetitive nature of them is more than just advertising. It is a several millennia old tactic of Brainwashing and mind control, a form of social engineering designed to produce a cognitively dead and robotic movement of obeiscent followers. In ancient times, this method of repetition under the influence of Hashish was used to train assassins by Arab potentates. (the word assassin derives from Hashish) Throughout History, the use of Mantras or Biblical verses were used to build Armies, train Crusaders, and enforce religious or political conformity.

In modern times, none other than Josef Goebbels, Hitler's Minister of Propaganda elaborated on the Principle of how to lie effectively, what we now know as "The Big Lie" about the Jews, through repetition, and sloganeering. And, in the 1950's and 60's, the CIA conducted mind control experiments which included LSD using similar methods. ( MK-ULTRA)

Many of us have expressed confusion or mystification with how unresponsive Trump supporters are to reason, or persuasion, and the dogmatic assertion of their righteousness with expressions and arguments that are clearly not their own, rather, something plausible which they heard. They will not acknowledge change, events, or any reality which contradicts their strongly held beliefs.

This article does not make the point I am making in any emphatic way, rather it focuses on the methodology of Trump advertising. It describes how it is not microtargeted, not based on demographic data, and completely devoid of content, but is "push button" oriented to evoke visceral reactions through volume. It uses patriotic colors, and as described, sounds to me as on the cognitive level of Chimpanzees.

It is designed to produce an Army of mindless obedient loyal zombies. This is why Trump's handlers are outspending their opponents 100 to 1 on Facebook. It is brainwashing.
