The Dirty, Dirty Secret of How Putin Came to Power
Many people ask me about the apparent control Vladimir Putin has over Donald Trump.
I wouldn't call it control, more like "profiled behavior". Based on Trump's psychological profile, he is easily played, misled, misdirected, gamed, and essentially is operating as an Agent of Influence, or Asset.

Former KGB Lt. Col. Vladimir Putin, who had become FSB head, later Deputy Prime Minister, was appointed Prime Minister by Yeltsin, and Acting President when Yeltsin resigned. Putin directed the Russian response to the bombings, which became known as the 2nd Chechen War, accompanied by the deployment domestically to round up thousands of people and "disappear" them, in the name of the Russian War on Terror. Putin made public statements like "we will beat to death in the Outhouse anyone who defends Terror".
Putin's popularity as the "Law and Order" President soared, and he was Elected to his own first Term soon after.
What's missing from this picture? The Speaker of the Russian Duma on Sept 13 denounced the attacks on three Russian Cities. The problem was that one mentioned hadn't been bombed yet, until three days later.
The President of Chechnya disavowed the Bombings. The Terror group which did call in to claim credit did not exist, nor did anyone know who the caller was.
There were a number of top Spies, Policymakers, government officials, and Investigative journalists who knew the truth of who and what bombed those apartments and Malls. They are all dead. The investigations by the Duma into the bombings where shut down. The investigators for the Duma disappeared. The documents they collected and interview transcripts were sealed for 75 years.

Among those killed was Russian Spy Alexander Litvinenko, who went into exile in late 2000, whose investigation produced a book entitled "Blowing Up Russia", one of the authoritative accounts of Putin's role in orchestrating the bombings. Litvinenko was murdered by a fellow Russian spy with a lethal dose of Polonium-210 put in his Tea on Putin's orders. (BBC, Jan 2016)
Also a prominent Putin critic, investigative journalist Anna Politkovskaya, was shot to death in her Apartment building on October 7, 2006, one month before Litvinenko was poisoned, as she was one of his main sources. Politkovskaya was murdered by a group of brothers with a gun by procured by a former government police agent. In addition to preparing exposes on the Moscow bombings, she was a leading vocal critic of the Chechnyan War. (BBC, June 2014)
Do the Math. And now you have your answer. Trump sees Putin as an authority figure and Mentor. Putin is also the richest man in the world, who controls 200 billion in personal wealth (Forbes, Bill Browder) through cutouts, and Family members.
Trump wants to BE like Putin. He talks to him frequently for advice. Trump is so empty, that he is like a Player Piano. And Putin pulls up a bench, sits down, turns the crank, and hits a switch. He doesn't even have to play. And he smiles, while enjoying listening to the instrument he just started up. Yes, Putin may have a little "Kompromat", here and there, but really, doesn't need it.
