Action Plan for Our New Revolution--Get Those Rebel Monuments Down!

Where to begin--
Actual Victories which have changed the World, reestablished Human Rights and Justice, have often been Symbolic ones, involving small things, which in the wide scope of History don"t really seem at first to mean much at all.
A Black lady in Montgomery wouldn't give up her seat on the Bus. People in Montgomery refused to take the Bus in a boycott, that brought the Company to its knees. People in Selma walked across a Bridge, that previously was blocked by police with clubs, tear gas, and dogs, and injured many people, in order to peacefully March to the State Capitol.
In Poland, a small group of shipworkers in Gdansk demonstrated for a Memorial statue for a Worker who had been shot by a Soviet Cop. Ten years later, that Union and its leader from that shipyard became President of Poland, and Communism in Poland was dead. Likewise, a concrete Wall with ugly graffiti was torn down by 1 million East Germans, which all grew from a Candlelight vigil outside of a Church in Leipzig by 4 people, only 6 weeks before. And of course, Russians who didn't like their statues of Lenin and Stalin were pulling them down, and within a month, a drunken corrupt idiot sitting half hung over in a Russian Tank became President of Russia, and Communism died. ( Maybe not the best example 😊)
Sometimes a symbol of something evil rotten, and oppressive, when attacked helps people feel free, and they become free. The only thing vandalized in Philly that deserved it was the Rizzo Statue. Interesting how people gravitated toward that. I'm not for destroying property mind you, but there's a few things that I wouldn't mind being "disposed of". There's a lot of Confederate Monuments out there. I wouldn't mind, for example, a non-violent campaign to demand that Mayors and Governors remove them. Stone Mountain, a perfect example in Georgia, memorializing Nathan Bedford Forrest, KKK Founder, is an atrocity.
There's a Statue outside the US Treasury Department in DC of Freemason and Confederate General Albert Pike, also a Klan Founder.
What a great way to repudiate the disgusting Trump Presidency and his Right Wing White Nationalist goon squads. Why not direct the energy of the protests to demand the removal of these affronts to Human decency. That's the way I would go on it.
Wouldn't it be amazing if our presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden made it a plank in the Democratic Platform to bring in the US Army Corp of Engineers to dynamite Stone Mountain? That's something even Bernie supporters could get behind. Am I right?
Let's put together a list of Memorials, Monuments to the Confederacy. In our region. (Lots in Gettysburg) and demand the Governors issue Executive orders to remove them, before the citizens take it upon themselves.
Then we are having a real discussion on the immoral legacy of the Confederacy, racism, Slavery and White Nationalism today. Upset about mishandling of Covid 19? Well, get rid of the Slaveholder values Confederate President who thinks human life is cheap and peoples lives should be traded or given up to save the stock Market like slaves auctioned on the block.
