It's "Crunch Time"

I think it's reasonable to form a few hypotheses. First, is that Trump didn't expect or want to win the Presidency in 2016. He ran because his business Empire was failing, his debt and legal problems piling up, and he decided that the increased visibility of a campaign would upvalue his brand. Second, narcissists feed upon adulation like an opium addict needs his next fix, and he always needs more. The Apprentice wasn't doing it for him anymore. Third, he actually thought he could run the Presidency like he ran his business, and everything implied by that. Blackmail, threats, hire the best fixers, payoffs, hidden behind a barrage of aggressive litigation or daring those he victimized to sue. Using his favored press to incite, cover up, to frame his opponents, to bury critical stories or revelations of his unethical and illegal activity.
